The Corrupt Labour Party of Liverpool-Vote Them Out.

Liverpool Labour Party-Corrupt To The Core. Drain The Swamp.

The process of governance has been hijacked in Liverpool and turned into a dirty rancid corrupt regime. We are only seeing the tip of the iceberg at present. There's a lot more below the surface.

The people of Liverpool those predominantly heartland supporters, who have been loyal to the Labour party have been stolen from on a scale that is hard to believe.

Unless you have been reading our citizen journalism here that is.

In a pandemic, urgently needed money for old peoples homes has been squandered and sent offshore in dodgy land deals, and services have been starved of funds.

This while The JoeAnderson fat cat cronies have been coining it, people have had to go to food banks to survive.

All the Labourites knew about it, and did nothing.

Even Trade Unionists it has been alleged were part of the corruption. The corrupt veins of a system of deceit from council leaders to officers right down to ward councillors.

And all those people who say they didn't, know about it.

And should go and hide their heads in shame.

Never a more arrogant bunch of deceitful people have been gathered together to line their own pockets as is The Labour Party of Liverpool.

And part of the blame lies with the people who voted for the uneducated shysters in the first place.

When Jenrick announced in special sitting of the House of Commons and that he was to send commissioners into the city. Liverpool MP's were lining up to zoom in to Parliament and tell everyone that its not all bad. Well it is.

And they must have known about it.

And if they didn't then it was because they were turning a blind eye on it all while being paid huge fees by lobbyists to ask questions for big businesses operating on handouts from Liverpool Labour.

And while the good citizens of Liverpool were robbed of the money and land that they owned by right they filled their expense coffers. Some with claims for faux Leopard skin chairs on expenses. While some of their constituents were sleeping on the streets in the middle of winter.

While AlastairMachray the editor of the once proud Liverpool Echo gave them all the publicity needed to hide in plain. It took attention off the shysters. There should be a police investigation into how it was all mopped up by Machray and packaged as if there was nothing wrong. Pretending that “stakeholder partners” were working together, bringing jobs to the city. And all the time the educated manipulator was shrouding them. Delaying the length of time it took for them to get caught. Shame on you Mr Machray. And those buffoons who pretended they knew nothing.

Fences for the shysters. You are just as bad as the thieves.

As if it was not obvious Hatton, McKenna and they even had one of the Flanagans was the editor for a day.

Are the local press not supposed to investigate corruption, not facilitate it.

The Echo , well you cant call them journalists, looking for corruption. Its like putting mosquitoes in charge of malaria.

They may as well get the Labour party to investigate itself. Oh that's what they did. The cover up was complete. So corrupt politicians could operate at leisure as long as they didn't rock the boat.

Joe Back'Anderson said he had never taken a bribe in his life, when his son David was driving around in 100 grand car.

And all the Labour politicians had to do was set up a offshore numbered account and have the cash deposited there, out of sight.

Everyone in Liverpool knew about it. There was a wagon driving around, stopping outside the Echo, with trailer telling everyone about the corruption.

And they still got away with it.

Hatton was operating what should have been council services while the dumb fuckers in Oldham Hall street were saying how great it was that a get fit bike service was being paid for, by the people, out of their rates that they struggled to pay. While Hatton was running it sanctioned by Steve Rotheram the Metro Mayor and ex Labour MP.

Hard working parents juggling several jobs to help their children grow up with principles and morals while the dogs who were supposed to be representing them were robbing them.

There are no excuses.

And all the years we told you all what was going on. We started off with manners trying to make a difference. Engaging in an informative manner with the press. Then you realise that most of the shysters, masquerading as reporters, at the Echo are corrupt and you have to shout a bit harder.

W watch as nearly a billion pounds of European Objective One money is pumped into the system or should I say Neil Scales of Miserytravels coffers, A labour party councillor? and others.

Or David Wade Smith who, along with Neil Scales wasted six million quid setting up a Walrus Travel Card that did not work. Then the whole building cartel that closed ranks and robbed the city.

How did the Museum Carbuncle on the waterfront originally estimated at 21 million end up costing 80 million. And the Terminal Ferry carbuncle, not more than four walls cost 25 million. Yes £25,000,000. Its a 2 million pound job at most. And when anybody took the time to write to Louise Ellman and she blags them off, not interested.....ummmmm. Or was she the problem?

Then the attitude. Gary Millar fronting it out in China helping rob Chinese investors of their life savings. And PR'ing for Grosvener?

And Nasty Nick Small the most disgustingly bad mannered person is left to roam the city Central Ward. How has he got away with it? W

There should be a Liverpool Labour-wide Police Investigation. Maybe we are helping with inquiries.

Even as we spell this out there will probably be a turnout for Labour at the local elections and the dim wits who voted the same corrupt Labour bastards in will probably vote the same again. Walking into the booths with their brains on leads, without thinking too hard.

X marks the spot.

Yes you, you know who you are.

Think about what you are doing you have just been fleeced. VOTE THEM OUT.

THEY HAVE BEEN ROBBING FROM NURSING HOMES LIBRARY FUNDING AND DISABLED SERVICES.

Liverpool South Parkway Station-A Complete Cock Up

Yes someone has to say it especially as they are spinning it that this is, or has, "World Class Connections".
Well the reality is they spent £30,000,000 of our money rebuilding this station and rebranding it.....................but the London trains cant stop there because the platform is not long enough.
So you get off at John Lennon Airport you get a bus to Lime Street Station and get on a London train and then steer right past the station that claims to have world class connections. The planners can only be described as world class idiots for even attempting to kid you that it is a success. All that is missing is a Ken Dodd statue like the one that was unveiled at Lime Street Station and Neil Scales could have wasted another couple of hundred grand.
 http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2009/07/liverpool-european-capital-ofbad.html
The local press kept all this quiet in 2008 so as not to show how innefectivly the billion pounds of European Objective One funding was being distributed by the North "Vested Interest" Development Agency.
So now Joe "Come and inspect the books" Anderson has opened a Embassy in London so he can promote business for Frank McKenna's mates at Downtown Liverpool.  http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2010/06/frank-mckenna-suckles-at-breast-of-joe.html
Anderson just sounds like a whinging scouser blstering away. http://condensedthoughts.blogspot.com/2011/02/joe-andersons-bluster-bombast.html

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-merseyside-12245480 BBC News article about the Embassy.

They wont be promoting this, err, apparent oversight to those business men who come here by plane from London and waste hours sitting on a bus going through the council estate in Speke sitting next to a scally in a trackie with a Pit Bull Terrier.
And then when they get to Lime Street watching as the train goes right past where they started.

Should Merseytravel Be Investigated By The Police?

That is a question we were asked the other day.

It now transpires that Herr Director Neil Scales sanctioned the purchase of a load of tat and bric a brac that had some vague relationship to the Beatles for 2 million quid of your money. See todays Weekly Ghost.
This was public cash.
Marc Waddington, now unshackled from the ambitious David Bartlett, who has been promoted, has done some good work lately.
Bartlett was very fortunate to take over Larry Neild’s phone who had been at the Echo for years.
We spoke to Bartlett who is now Andy Kelly’s assistant, on numerous occasions, sent him emails and questions to how Miserytravel’s finances were being run.
What did he do…..well not very much really.
Now Marc Waddington reveals how a further investigation into the running off the Miserytravel Gravy Train is to take place after more revealing allegations.

This is public money that has been used as frippery by the Directors of Miserytravel and it has gone on for decades.

Andy Kelly was a reporter when the Tram fiasco took place where Scales and Co wasted millions on steel tram lines that were never used. http://www.liverpoolcultureblog.co.uk/2009/07/merseytram-off-the-rails-for-good/

Neil Scales was the Moron who cut up U534 in a savage act of barbaric vandalism that renders it virtually worthless. http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.co.uk/2011/05/why-did-merseytravel-spend-42-million.html

Costing us many millions

http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.co.uk/2011/05/neil-scales-and-merseytravel-spend.html

Right in front of the noses of the local press. http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.co.uk/2010/06/u-534-cut-up-into-five-pieces-by-neil.html

In fact the local press almost welcomed it. They flirted with Scales publishing what his PR company told them. They took advertisments from Merseytravel.
We believe, the disgraceful October Communications now Aurora Media were PR for Mersetravel at one stage.
Who Larry Nield went on to work for effectivly becoming PR for Scales & Co.

Isn't it strange the way it all goes around in Circles. October PR for Neptune Developments.....who build the Black Coffins on Mann Island.
They were commisioned by Liverpool Vision and David Wade-Smith who was Director of Liverpool Chamber of Commersce and cost the taxpayer 6.5 million in a tragic team up with Merseytravel.
Neil Scales then becomes Liverpol Chamber Commerce Director.
Merseytravel move into the black coffins costing the taxpayer a fortune.......No wonder Private Eye call Liverpool Murkeyside.

Now Scales has buggered off to Australia….how convenient is that.

http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.co.uk/2011/12/neil-scales-buggers-off-to-australia.html

Where is he to anser question about his decisions.
http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.co.uk/2013/05/david-wade-smith-costs-taxpayer.html

Scales was mates with David Wade-Smith, one of Joe Andersons trusted advisors.

And why did Anderson not argue out the Miserytravel question when Councillor Dowd was under investigation?

http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.co.uk/2011/08/merseytravel-mark-dowd-and-his-expense.html

His legal team tried to gag us. Maybe Louise Outram head of Legal services at Miserytravel should answer a few questions too?

http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.co.uk/2011/05/merseytravel-try-to-gag-us-we-will-not.html

Miserytravel wasted a fortune on South Parkway Station.
The London trains cant stop there because after a 25million refurbishment the platform was not long enough http://www.liverpoolcultureblog.co.uk/2009/07/merseytram-off-the-rails-for-good/

The clowns even wanted to buy Ringo’s House http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.co.uk/2011/01/9-madryn-street-ringos-house-why-knock.html

In 2008 when they were paying 2 million for a load of Lennon bric a bra they were also commissioning art…well that’s not what most people would call it.

http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.co.uk/2009/07/liverpool-european-capital-ofbad.html
Ken Dodd with a kebab at Lime Street station as public sculpture.

You have to be a comedian to live here.

FERRY TERMINAL
So there is an investigation into how 2 million was wasted but the real question is how did Miserytravel spent 11 million quid on a Terminal Ferry Building that won the Carbuncle Cup award as the worst designed building of 2009.

http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.co.uk/2009/08/liverpool-wins-carbuncle-cup.html

http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.co.uk/2009/10/liverpools-pier-head-and-its-new.html

Those who were present at the Planning committee meeting when plans were passed, may recall how Doreen Jones, the Doyenne of World Heritage disaster, passed the plans, saying she had been blackmailed into doing so.
 What did that mean?
Larry Neild reported the committee meeting for the Echo.

More investigations need to be done on this World Heritage White Elephant that the Lennon tat was placed in.
Why did we need a Beatles Museum in a Ferry Terminal.

But will the local press continue their reporting and do some investigating, or just let it lie on the bottom shelf until someone else does the work for them.

SHOULD THE POLICE INVESTIGATE?

The Liverpool Echo Sinks To An All Time Low-A Free Burger To Honour The Battle Of The Atlantic Burgers and Ships

This is todays headline from the paper that claims so much.
It's sunk to an all time low today with a headline of BURGER & SHIPS at the start of The Battle of The Atlantic commemorations this week. Burgers &; Ships?
It is outrageous that those in charge of how we present ourselves as a city, and a city, that did so much during the war to eradicate the U-Boat threat. (thye city that also allowed Neil Scales to cut up U534 rescued from a Norwegian Fford) now finds itseld represented at an all time low.
This is the responsibility of the editor, the uncultured Alaistair Machray who has shown himself repeatedly to be making the paper, that he claims to speak up for people of Merseyside, to be no more than The Sun.
Here it is, giving burgers away with what must be one of the worst tasting headlines we can remember.
To allow the front page to turn into an advertorial  this week should be a boycottable offence.
You should hang your head in shame Mr Machray, if you know what the word shame means.
Is this the best you can do, to honour those heroes who were on the Arctic convoys in blizzards fighting for freedom..................so you can dishonour them by giving away a free burger in an advertorial.
How did you get confused with anIcelandic Convoys and a free burger from Iceland?
You have shown us up.
Those men, yes real men, not soppy little ponces who complain if the central heating isn't working, but men who had to endure hardships unfathomable in today's age, risking their lives for freedom.
So clowns like you could discredit their endeavours seventy years or so later.
You should be ashamed of yourself, you have also let down all those hardworking journalists who had compiled a moving and dignified way of displaying our gratitude to the dead and the families of the dead and the Naval service as whole.
At first glance the thoughts were that it may be an outrage that there are takeout vans down at the Pier Head and these have no place there.
The sort of thing that The Oldham Echo's hard working shipping correspondent Peter Elson campaigns against.
To make a good impression, to the flocks of people who now get off at the Landing stage when Cruise Liners arrive, but the first thing they see are burger vans.
But no.
This paper should be boycotted for this outrageous level of disrespect fot the fallen navy personal and the Merchant Seamen who perished, some of who froze as soon as they hit the icy waters of the Atlantic. Who spent months at sea fighting cat and mouse games with a formidable foe.

But no, get your free quarter pounder courtesy of Alaistar Machray and Co down at the disgusting little paper that shows no respect for people who did real work, risking thier lives.
And those journalists down at Oldham Hall Street that never stop whining about being overworked while they are deleting things from articles that may give the right impression to the public, take a hard look at yourselves.
You don't know what work is, sitting there in your air conditioned office. Remember the people that you today dishonoured with a disgraceful headline, fought, some of them fought and lost, with their lives for your freedom, so you can say what you like.
God help us there must be thousands of mariners today turning in thier icy graves in the dark depths of the Atlantic who thought they were fighting for your freedom.

HANG YOUR HEADS IN SHAME.

David Wade-Smith Costs Taxpayer £6.5million Quid

AND HE IS ON THE BOARD OF "THE DICTATOR" JOE ANDERSON'S MAYORAL DEVELOPMENT FUND

You cant make this up.
He is also the colleague of Frank McKenna's Downtown Liverpool in Joe Anderson's pocket, no wonder Private Eye keeps calling us Murkeyside. http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.co.uk/2013/03/frank-mckenna-in-private-eye-again.html
In 2012 it was announced that Wade-Smith would join Herr Dictator Uncle Joe Anderson.
The set-up is completed by Julia Unwin, chief executive of the Joseph Rowntree Foundation, and city business leader David Wade-Smith.  http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/liverpool-news/liverpool-mayor-joe-anderson-announces-3340224
It was also anounced that Robert Hough a Director of Peel Holdings would join the board. http://www.salfordstar.com/article.asp?id=448 and its not just Liverpool that suffers from Peel Holdings.
http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.co.uk/2011/03/david-wade-smith-carping-on-with-same.html Wade-Smith was a darling of the Daily Ghost who kept on building him up........Bill Gleeson. you really do have a lot to answer for.
David Wade-Smith was a Chairman of the nest of spivs that is the Liverpool Chamber of Commerce http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.co.uk/2011/05/liverpool-chamber-of-commerce-and-its.html as was Neil Scales "the moron who cut up U534 and its him that should be sectioned" He didnt like that.
Anyway sue us if you want you incompetent devious bastard hiding in plain view, right under the noses of the press and those that turn a blind eye. Scales is the right name you slippery little devious man.
http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.co.uk/2011/05/merseytravel-try-to-gag-us-we-will-not.html We will not be gagged.
He also wasted £67,000,000 of our money on his hobby even Peter Elson was duped when he cut up the submarine rescued from the seabed intact and barged to Liverpool.
http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.co.uk/2011/05/neil-scales-and-merseytravel-spend.html

http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.co.uk/2011/12/neil-scales-buggers-off-to-australia.html Now he has buggered off to Austrailia

Today it is reported by the very paper that was promoting the Livesmart as the new oyster card the newly promoted
David Bartlett wrote
More than £6.5m of taxpayers money was wasted by transport authority Merseytravel on the purchase of a smart card company that never made any money.

An internal audit found that Merseytravel’s acquisition of Livesmart delivered “little tangible benefit” to the organisation or the taxpayer.
The ECHO has seen parts of the audit, which is being kept under wraps by Merseytravel.
The review, which was overseen by St Helens council, said “significant failings in corporate governance” by Merseytravel led to the huge loss.
The organisation is now in the process of winding up Livesmart and its chairman Liam Robinson, who took over last summer, admitted mistakes were made.
He said: “It is fair to say that Livesmart was not a successful commercial venture, giving little return for a significant investment by Merseytravel.
“We recognise that mistakes have been made in the past, but we are determined to examine them, learn from them, and make sure they are not repeated. That is the process we are following with Livesmart.”
Livesmart was founded in 2004 by businessman David Wade-Smith.
It ran the popular 08 Capital of Culture card scheme offering discounts to shops, retailers, restaurants and bars across Liverpool. Merseytravel first became involved in the company in 2006.
In 2008 the transport authority paid £750,000 to increase its stake in the company from 24.9% to 87%.
At the time Neil Scales, then chief executive and director general for Merseytravel, said: “This is a sound investment for us. It is a company of real potential.
“We are literally just touching the surface in terms of the potential for smart card technology.”
But the company spent the past few years racking up the huge losses with Merseytravel pouring money into the firm.
Mr Wade-Smith resigned from the company in October 2010, as did fellow director Carl Speight.
On the same day £441,000 was paid out to shareholders.
This was revealed in the company’s accounts for the year ending March 31, 2011.

HOW DID THEY GET AWAY WITH THIS?

http://blogs.liverpooldailypost.co.uk/dalestreetblues/2009/12/oyster-cards-and-extra-buses-f.html David Bartlett once wrote how wonderful it would be for the city

Neil Scales Buggers Off To Australia-Good Riddance.

SPOT THE DIPSTICK.

After wasting a fortune of our money Herr Director of Miserytravel buggers off to Australia leaving a trail of financial disasters behind him.
http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2011/05/why-did-merseytravel-spend-42-million.html
Miserytravel under his control cut up the historic U-534 that was rescued from the bottom of a Fford. http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2010/06/u-534-cut-up-into-five-pieces-by-neil.html

Let loose with our money Miserytravel commissioned the Ken Dodd with a Kebab at Lime Street station.
http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2009/07/liverpool-european-capital-ofbad.html

Miserytravel even bought Ringos house
http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2010/11/why-does-merseytravel-own-ringos-house.html

He spent £67,000,000 of your money on a folly that will never make any cash.
http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2011/05/neil-scales-and-merseytravel-spend.html

Used to getting his own way and spending taxpayers money he tried to gag us.
http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2011/05/merseytravel-try-to-gag-us-we-will-not.html

Good Riddance Mr Scales You Will Not Be Missed. All the money you wasted on your ill concieved ideas, really, could have kept quite a few Nursing Homes open.

Strawberry Fools Forever-What Is Beatles History Really Worth?

This weekend was the awful Mathew Street, piss up, I mean, Festival.
Where they now charge a fiver to get into, your own city centre.
Friends of mine come in to busk on Saturday and where threatened with a fine of a grand.
All they wanted to do was show off their musical talent for a little appreciation.
The Mathew Street Festival no longer belongs to the people of Liverpool.
They, the city council, have now taken over and are systematicaly destroying the essence of why it started.
At least when it first started, the drunken clouts were confined to Mathew Street and now they are all over town. It is a sickening sight. I couldn't think of a worse and more crude way to spent a Bank Holiday than watching Amy Housewine (yes thats her stage name) and all the other tribute bands that now ply their trades, that were gathered together by the organisers, in a lazy fashion, with little or no real intelligent thought, for a sort of musical jamboree that showcases little of Liverpool.

Meanwhile they are removing, if they have not yet done so, the gates from Strawberry Fields.
Well, We knocked The Cavern Club Down so why not take all the originality out of the city.
Is this the first step to their sale, or even worse being given to Liverpool Museums to make a full set along with Manchester Dock Gates that survived the Luftwaffe's onslaught.
Interestingly we have just commemorated 70 years of the blitz.
Some people just cant leave well alone.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2011/may/10/beatles-strawberry-fields-gates-removed

Is this Strawberry Fools Forever. Or is someone at the Sally army who own the site, where the gates stand, getting feeled up for a few quid?
Who planted the seed in the field and why isn't our courageous Conservation Officer Steve (Ronnie) Corbett doing anything about it. Yes we know they were taken once, but they were returned they were so hot, they could never be sold. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strawberry_Fields_Forever

Is Eel Scales Herr Director of Miserytravel going to buy them and turn them into a Miserytravel bus stop, or cut them into four at a cost 4.2 million pounds and then tell us its great for toursim and he saved them.  http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2011/05/why-did-merseytravel-spend-42-million.html
Or is he trying to get his hands on the yellow submarine and cut that up.
Where is the yellow submarine that was once at the International Garden Festival anyway.

So last week the Old Sailors Home gates are returned http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2011/08/henry-pooley-gates-return-can-we-have.html and placed next to John Lewis in Grosvenor-Pool making a new use of the term "Gated Community".
So we lose one set of gates and gain one set.
Its always one step forward and one step back in this city. HELP!

Merseytravel-Mark Dowd and his Expense Claims Are To Be Investigated By The District Auditor.

This time it is Councillor Mark Dowd under the spotlight.
THE district auditor has been asked to investigate Merseytravel chairman Mark Dowd’s spending on the transport authority’s credit card.

Cllr Dowd has come under fire for using the transport authority’s credit card to pay for his attendance at Labour party conferences, theatre tickets, and a trip to Alcatraz in the USA.
Merseytravel can state unequivocally that all items of Cllr Dowd's personal expenditure were reimbursed in full in an appropriately timely manner.  It was reported.

http://www.liverpooldailypost.co.uk/liverpool-news/regional-news/2011/08/04/merseytravel-chairman-mark-dowd-s-credit-card-spending-under-the-microscope-92534-29174022/
Granada Reports, or was it BBC Northwest ran an expose recently about this matter. They seemed pretty confident about their claims.

The Merseytravel credit card spending was revealed in a Freedom of Information request.

Cllr Blakeley ecently said it was not appropriate that Cllr Dowd used the Merseytravel credit card for personal expenditure, even though it was reimbursed.

Cllr Dowd was not available for comment, to the local press, but a Merseytravel spokesman said he was considering taking legal action against Cllr Makinson, alleging he had made “malicious and libellous claims”.

He would wouldnt he.
Miserytravel seem to have a habit of wanting to sue anyone who question them.
They tried to gag us in what Correspondent called Mersetravel's Clumsy Attempt at Censorship. http://condensedthoughts.blogspot.com/2011/05/merseytravels-clumsy-attempt-at.html

Meanwhile the City does not even have a landing stage.
http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2011/05/neil-scales-of-miserytravel-where-is.html
For the Mersey Ferries.
http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2011/05/ferry-across-mersey-miserytravel.html
Despite Millions being spent by Herr Director Neil Scales.

Watch Neil Scales talking about his folly the U-534 that he instructed to be sectioned and got annoyed because it was suggested he was a Moron for cuttig up a piece of history that was rscued and arged to Liverpool.
http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2011/05/neil-scales-and-merseytravel-spend.html

The Miserytravel Gravy Train and its Senior Management Are, in my opinion, Out Of Control.

Ferry Across The Mersey-Miserytravel.

The Crown Princess, one of the biggest Cruise Liners going, was in Liverpool last Thursday.......It rained all day, what a shame for all those American tourists it is said, spend

all their money in Liverpool when they get off the big ships down at the jetty.
In reality they go back to the ship for their dinner and it is very hard to get them to spend money in a city that they visit.
So the tour bus operators were lined up with the special deals of a hundred quid a go to visit the Cathedral. They can be whisked off to Strawberry Field to see the replica gates and stand in amazement at the Cavern Club....that was knocked down.
Or they could get on A Ferry...........well not with the balloons at Miserytravel running it they cant.
I wrote last week about the lack of a landing stage at The Pier Head and how £12,000,000 had been spent on a Terminal Ferry Carbuncle and we did not have a landing stage to depart the passengers from.
Ferry Cross I was about this.
http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2011/05/neil-scales-of-miserytravel-where-is.html

So last week with a golden opportunity to show off the city and the disfigured waterfront to all those passengers, theycancelled all the ferries because the Crown Princess took up all the space needed at the Cruise Liner Jetty and they couldn't sail...................clever..........very clever............Miserytravel.
What an opportunity missed..what a joke.
Gerry Marsden has turned into Seasick Steve and recorded a blues version of On a Slow Boat To China.
You could not make this up.

http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2011/05/neil-scales-and-merseytravel-spend.html After spending 67 million quid on the Ferries this is beyond a joke now.

£4.2 million cutting up the U534 http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2011/05/why-did-merseytravel-spend-42-million.html to...enhance the ferries. Herr Disector need to go!

Was this reported in the local press http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2011/05/merseytravel-try-to-gag-us-we-will-not.html No wonder N eel Scales wants to gag us.

Neil Scales of Miserytravel-Where Is Our Mersey Ferry Landing Stage?

I was down on the waterfront a couple of weeks ago playing with The Penny Lane Jazz Band. In all the excitement of playing a set of numbers for departing passengers I almost never caught the occasion of a Mersey Ferry stopping at the now redundant Cruise Liner Jetty. But I recall thinking why is that stopping there and not near the Terminal Ferry Carbuncle that N eel Scales, Herr Disector General of U534 commissioned with £12,000,000 of your money......strange I thought.

I then bumped into Rod Holmes in Princes Dock, who is always a nervous wreck when I see him. I told him we had just done a gig and he said he had just come from a Mersey Partnership party at the Albert Dock, how much did that cost us, I thought.
"Did you notice the three Black Coffins on Mann Island" I asked
"Yes he replied as did numerous people who all seemed to say, Why did they obscure the views of the Three Graces".
Well at least he is honest and complimentary to the work we have done even though at several times I went head to head with him on planning matters. It is nice to know that an adversary can be pleasant and respectful to you knowing how hard you pushed them.  http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2009/06/rod-holmes-came-in-my-shop-today.html
"You have left us a Carbuncle yourself" I said "At One Park Worst" he had already agreed to that one.

John Daley asked me to do a talk for the WEA about One Park Gone West but I was having a kidney stone done..........painfull, you don't want one of those.
So I agreed the week after to join them at the Terminal Ferry Carbuncle. David a respected colleague of mine joined us. The group were a nice old bunch and John let me fill them in about the council corruption that has taken place that now creates a pigs ear at the Pier Head.
I put a strong argument forward.
It is always nice to support the Workers Education Authority as its where I learnt to etch copper plates and hone my life drawing skills that I now find invaluable.
Then, while talking I noticed out of the window there was nothing there, the morons at Miserytravel had built a £12,000,000 Terminal Ferry Carbuncle that was voted the worst building of 2009 by Building Design, the architects weekly.................and they forgot to put a landing stage in for the Ferries. http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2009/08/liverpool-wins-carbuncle-cup.html
Remember when it sank into the Mersey a decade ago and they have not replaced it yet.

What sort of plonker is organising this, Fred Carno could do a better job.

Considering the Isle of Man Ferries are also using the Cruise Liner Cock up facility, some-ones head should roll.......and its a very big head indeed N eel.

As if confirmation that the MPTE is in a mess here is todays news reporting on a near fatal accident when a train derailed.
http://www.liverpooldailypost.co.uk/liverpool-news/regional-news/2011/05/24/merseyrail-ordered-to-pay-out-100-000-over-runaway-train-92534-28750348/ MERSEYRAIL was ordered to pay out more than £100,000 after a runway train careered onto the tracks.

The firm appeared at Liverpool Crown Court yesterday after the empty train derailed near Kirkdale, in June, 2009 – but only after missing a working commuter train by five seconds.

More work on safety and less on Bad Sculpture please, Herr Disector.
Lets hope less attention to empire building in future. http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2011/05/why-did-merseytravel-spend-42-million.html
And less on image building for Herr Disector
http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2011/05/merseytravel-try-to-gag-us-we-will-not.html
No wonder they want to gag us because the more you look into Miserytravel, the more you find they are out of control.
I think we will ask the audit commission a few questions about them.

Merseytravel Could Be Asked To Run The Local Rail Network-Neil Scales Empire Building Could Be Complete.

MERSEYSIDE is poised to become the first part of Britain to run its own rail network, under a radical government shake-up to be unveiled today. Rob Merrick reported

A groundbreaking report will propose “vertical integration” to drive down costs, allowing some areas to take control of both track and trains – ending the divide imposed by privatisation 15 years ago.

Merseytravel, the passenger authority, has pressed to be given the new powers for many years, but was thwarted by the last Labour government.
Now the Daily Post has learned that ministers believe Merseyside is the “obvious candidate” to carry out a trial of the new approach, because – unlike inter-city trains – it covers a small area.
Local transport bosses believe the benefits will include the ability to:

Carry out track maintenance at more convenient times – preventing complete shutdowns of vital lines;

Improve existing lines – perhaps completing the electrification of the Bidston-to-Wrexham line, which will only be electrified on the Welsh side of the border, under current plans;
Assume responsibility for track failures – which passengers wrongly blame on Merseytravel, rather than on Network Rail, which is responsible for infrastructure.
Carry out improvements at stations – again, currently the responsibility of Network Rail.

http://www.liverpooldailypost.co.uk/liverpool-news/regional-news/2011/05/19/merseytravel-set-to-win-control-of-railway-tracks-92534-28721186/
Previously, the authority’s chief executive, Neil Scales, has called for the switch by saying: “Vertical integration is not something that would work across the country.

“But it is admirably suited to the Merseyrail network, which is self-contained and largely separated from the rest of the UK network.”
Today, transport secretary Philip Hammond will announce the setting- up of a rail delivery group of industry leaders, to prepare a White Paper to be published in the autumn.
Mr Hammond will not commit himself to vertical integration, but is expected to praise the interesting ideas put forward by Sir Roy McNulty, a former chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority.
The review is expected to conclude that the rail network costs up to 30% more than it should to operate, high costs he will blame on the fragmentation that accompanied privatisation in the mid-1990s.

After the South Parkway Station Mess where they at Miserytravel spent £30,000,000 and did not think to move a set of points so as the London Trains could stop. Is this wise? http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2011/02/liverpool-south-parkway-station.html

Liverpool Chamber of Commerce-And Its Invested Interests. What You Dont Know Can Harm You.

Is the Liverpool Chamber of Commerce now a Collective Spiv for Peel Holdings?

http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2009/07/liver-peel-conflicts-of-interest-begin.html

Liverpool Chamber of Commerce appoints top Peel surveyor to board

by Neil Hodgson, Liverpool Daily Post
May 3 2011
LIVERPOOL Chamber of Commerce has appointed a senior member of developer Peel’s team to its main board.
It will enable Peel development investment surveyor Ian Pollitt to forge closer links with the business community.
He said: “It is a great honour to be asked by the Chamber to join the main board, and I look forward to working closely with Chamber members over the coming years.
“These are both exciting and difficult times for the business community, and the Chamber is an increasingly important player.”
Liverpool Chamber chief executive Jack Stopforth said: “I am pleased to welcome Ian on to the board. The Chamber’s board prides itself on having many of the key business figures in Liverpool representing the city’s business community and Ian’s appointment will bring one of the city’s largest investors round the table to provide a valuable input into the Chamber’s management process.”

So the Chamber of Commerce that cant even add its own books up, the LCC the organisation that lost £750,000 last year  http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/views/liverpool-columnists/rex-makin/2011/01/28/rex-makin-things-seem-a-bit-stormy-at-liverpool-chamber-of-commerce-100252-28069770/ is thought of as being a organisation responsible for Liverpools Regeneration............more like a group of vested interested individuals, dole-ing out European Objective One money to each other.
Here is the crew that are promoting themselves and now it appears Peel Holdings through the new appointment.

The Earl of Derby DL (President) http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-suffolk-12860942

Dougal Paver

John Sutcliffe

Jack Stopforth - Chief Executive, Liverpool Chamber of Commerce
 http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2010/09/trevor-jones-and-hole-in-ground.html

The Earl of Derby is on the board....whats his interest then? He was a trustee of NML when they decided to build the new Carbuncle in the WHS.............and what else is he connected with, lets see, Oh the proposals for Hatchfields Farm  http://www.historicnewmarket.co.uk/lord-derbys-disingenuous-statements.html where it is said Lord Derby’s statements on his proposed Hatchfield Farm Development 26th January 2010 despite a campaign against it called save historic Newmarket. http://www.liverpooldailypost.co.uk/liverpool-news/regional-news/2011/01/13/get-on-board-liverpool-cruise-campaign-banked-by-earl-of-derby-92534-27977844/

Lord Derby at last came clean with the real reason for his plans to develop Hatchfield Farm last week in the Evening Standard (20th January). Save Historic Newmarket has been concerned since Lord Derby’s plans to develop Hatchfield Farm have come into the public domain that a number of statements have been made which are misleading.
Lord Derby is obtaining planning permission purely for financial reasons and does not as he says he has have the best interests of the racing industry at heart and a strong desire to deliver the government affordable housing targets. In the Evening Standard on 20th January: “Asked about his motives for the scheme, Lord Derby said’ Clearly Inheritance tax takes quite a hold on things, we have spent the past 15 years trying to improve the estate and clearly I carry quite a debt burden at the moment.”
Despite Lord Derby’s continual assurances that it is better to have a developer who understands racing, it has become clear after in depth studying of his planning application that he intends to sell Hatchfield Farm once he obtains permission:
Daily Telegraph, 18th December, Lord Derby is quoted saying: “And I would argue that it is far better to have someone who understands racing and its concerns working on this development than someone with no interest at all.”
On page 7, para 12.1 of this document (http://fhdcrw.onesuffolk.co.uk/NR/rdonlyres/D602021A-0C11-434C-8586-18229E298CEC/0/HSM85830.pdf)  contained within the 17-box planning application submitted by Lord Derby’s consultants to Forest Heath District in December , there was a line that indicates that Lord Derby will not be the developer but will sell Hatchfield Farm with planning permission to a developer.
“12.1 It is only possible to speak on behalf of Lord Derby and the Hatchfield Farm site. In this case, a planning application will be submitted shortly and it is envisaged that planning permission could be granted later in 2010, after the adoption of the Core Strategy. This will allow the site to be brought to the market in 2010/2011. For those reasons, the recession has had no impact on the delivery programme for Hatchfield Farm.”
Prior to the submission of his application, Lord Derby had publicly implied that the application was purely a housing development and had not raised the fact he was also intending it to be a significant mixed use commercial development. As well as 1,200 dwellings, the application comprises an 80 bedroom hotel, 27,000 square metres of offices, a cinema, restaurants, bars and retain outlets and a park and ride facility.
These will significantly increase all the traffic issues around Fordham road, where over 1,000 horses cross the roads daily and the urbanisation of rural Newmarket resulting in the demise of the town as HQ of racing. A summary of his application can be found on: http://www.historicnewmarket.co.uk/timetable-and-planning-application.html
Rachel Hood, Chair of Save Historic Newmarket said:
“Lord Derby has continually insisted that his motives are to help the government achieve its affordable housing targets and that he has insisted that he is the best developer for Newmarket as he is part of the racing industry. We have always disputed his “philanthropic” rationale and his developer credentials and plans. We are now clear that his motives are purely financial and he has no intention of being the developer - he plans to sell Hatchfield Farm once he has planning permission.
“I urge all residents of Newmarket to join Save Historic Newmarket Action Group in our efforts to stop this disastrous development for our town. Please come to the Newmarket Town Hall meeting on 1st February and sign our petition at http://www.historicnewmarket.co.uk/petition.html. ”

He is also on board the Cruise Liner Campaign which ensures he stays sweet with the local press

Neil Scales, Chairman http://www.liverpoolchamber.org.uk/board-of-directors.html Self styled....Director General of Miserytravel. His resume goes.

Neil Scales, Chief Executive and Director General Merseytravel, which promotes an integrated transport network responsible for 300 million passenger journeys per year by train, bus, ferries and through the Mersey Tunnels - which provide cross river links 365 days a year.
Merseytravel, which controls assets of £1 billion, owns and operates the Mersey Tunnels. It is also the franchising body for the Merseyrail Electrics Concession and is unique in controlling a 25 year franchise for the locally controlled railway, managed on a devolved basis, with a record for delivering high quality service, running trains to 67 stations across the region.
Merseytravel also owns and operates the famous Mersey Ferries and associated tourism attractions, contributing more than £34 million a year to the region's tourism economy.
Under Neil Scales' leadership Merseytravel has been transformed into an award-winning learning organisation with the establishment of Merseylearn, a leader in its field and is the first PTA/PTE to achieve the ISO 14001
Before joining Merseytravel Neil Scales was an independent transport and engineering consultant working for the World Bank on projects across Europe. Educated at a technical school, he has a BSc in engineering, an MSc in Control Engineering and Computer systems, an MBA and is a Fellow of the three major engineering institutions.
Neil is Chair of pteg, the organisation that represents PTEs in England to government and is the elected President of European Platform on Mobility Management (EPOMM) which are a network of governments in European countries that are engaged in mobility management. Amongst his other responsibilities, he chairs ACT TravelWise which promotes sustainable travel, is a board member of the Low Carbon Vehicle Partnership and until recently, after nine years Chaired ITSO, the Integrated Smartcard Organisation
He was elected Chair of Liverpool Chamber in 2010
Now we are not saying anything is being carried out that is wrong, but............
What is a unelected public servant such as Herr Director N eel Scales, doing sitting with all these business people at the Chamber........someone needs to take a long hard look at the cosy relationship that is being played out right before your very eyes and ask Is this a conflict of Interests?
He should be getting the buses to run in time shouldnt he?

This is what he said in a letter to the Liverpool Daily Post

Full support

http://www.liverpooldailypost.co.uk/views/letters-to-editor/2011/02/28/worrying-changes-to-neptune-plans-92534-28246559/
LIVERPOOL Chamber of Commerce would like to extend our full support for the Liverpool Waters initiative. In light of the current recession and imminent public sector cuts, we are pleased to see the private sector drawing up this ambitious road map to the future.
Peel Holdings recently made a presentation to Chamber members, explaining the full scale and ambition of the project, the focus on local job creation and the visual impact of the development.

Following the meeting, several members cited examples of waterfronts that successfully marry the old with the new, including Copenhagen, Philadelphia, Vancouver and Seattle.
We would like to encourage Peel to be even bolder in its design aspirations for both building height and design.
Many of our members also made the trip to the Shanghai World Expo in 2010 and understand the global value of a spectacular waterfront. Liverpool’s waterfront is magnificent, and any development planned for the next generation must ensure that it remains an iconic symbol of great design and heritage for the future.
This project, we believe, has the potential to be a world-class exemplar of a modern waterfront city weaving around the historical footprint.
On the issue of heritage, we are pleased to note that Peel intend to bring the historic and architecturally interesting Jesse Hartley Clock back into use.
We would also recommend the approach adopted by Liverpool One, who implemented a policy of integration with the city by restoring all of the historical links to the old dock.
We would urge members of the region’s business community who wish to see Liverpool regain its rightful place as a world-class city, and see it prosper throughout the twenty-first century, to make their support known to both Peel and Liverpool City Council.

Neil Scales OBE, MSc, MBA, C Eng, Chairman, Liverpool Chamber of Commerce

David Wade Smith said all the same shit about Mann Island that decimated the World Heritage Site  http://www.liverpooldailypost.co.uk/views/letters-to-editor/2011/02/28/worrying-changes-to-neptune-plans-92534-28246559/ and guess what he was the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce at the time.

Liverpool Chamber of Commerce...............Are they Spivs for Peel Holdings.

Liverpool Waters-Heading for a Public Inquiry, Its The Only Way.

THE £5.5bn Liverpool Waters scheme would cause “significant damage” to the city’s World Heritage Site – according to a scathing new report.

Peel Holdings wants to regenerate the city’s northern docklands with a series of skyscrapers claiming it will create more than 25,000 jobs and 14,000 apartments in a £5.5bn development.
But Government advisers English Heritage commissioned an independent report into the project after revealing it had concerns about the scheme.
http://www.liverpooldailypost.co.uk/liverpool-news/regional-news/2011/05/16/liverpool-waters-scheme-could-damage-world-heritage-site-new-report-warns-92534-28699451/ David Bartlett who has already won an award for reporting on the arrogant Peel Holdings, and their idea to sell our world heritage site down the river and create Dubai-on-Sea. http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2010/09/peel-holdings-arrogant-bastards.html
It seems now we are heading the only way for a public inquiry...lets hope so.

The Liverpool Daily Post say there is an opportunity for compromise. http://www.liverpooldailypost.co.uk/views/liverpool-daily-post/2011/05/16/an-opportunity-to-compromise-92534-28699480/
I question what they would know about heritage with their track record of being led by PR companies on heritage matters such as October Communications, watching while the Pier Head was decimated.
The only way forward is for a public inquiry.
Lets hope this is not just Orchestral manoeuvres in the Dock by Henry Owen-John and he finally does something to regain his awful record on Liverpool's Heritage.  http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2011/03/liverpool-waters-orchestral-manoeuvres.html

The Liverpool Chamber of Commerce has appointed a Senior Executive of Peel Holdings on to its board. Who it is heavily claimed is involved in the Liverpool Waters Scheme.
http://www.liverpooldailypost.co.uk/ldpbusiness/business-local/2011/05/03/liverpool-chamber-of-commerce-appoints-top-peel-surveyor-to-board-92534-28622154/
Its current Chairman is N eel Scales...........who got upset because we suggested he was far too close tp Peel Holdings. http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2011/05/merseytravel-try-to-gag-us-we-will-not.html Yes Mr Scales, you should feel well and truly rattled..........we are watching you.
The truth often hurts. http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2011/02/neil-scales-spiv-for-peel-holdings.html

While all the current crop of carpet-baggers are destroying the place before they bugger off to Spain with their loot...it is us who will remain who have to afford their tacky and corrupted architectural disasters to our world heritage site.
Lets hope this is a turning point by the local press David seems to have grasped the mettle of this argument.......but it must not be allow our World Heritage Site to be compromised further.......that is the job of the public inquiry.

Neil Scales and Merseytravel Spend £67,000,000 Of Your Money-Who Sanctioned This?

N eel Scales is shown walking around talking about his new plaything, the vandalised U534 U-Boat and when asked "And How Does this fit into Mersey Ferries"? he declares
"It is a concious decision" he goes on.................
"Investing in all 3 vessels the Pier Head New Ferry Terminal and SpacePort all together cost £67,000,000".
He says "Spaceport half a day, Beatles museum 2 hours and this (U534, cut up ) with the resturaunt attached 2 hours so you have a full day............So the whole purpose of this is to increase patronage of Merseyferries"
A day out costs us £67,000,000 while care homes are closing on both Mersey sides, somehow it does not seem sensible.

Miserytravel............Out of Control why don't they just concentrate on getting the buses and trains to run on time.
£67,000,000 of your money spent on misaligned strategies that need to be questioned.
£4.2 million to cut up U534......did they own it.........or was it held in trust.
 http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2011/05/why-did-merseytravel-spend-42-million.html
All this wastage when the Manxman is being scuppered,
http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2010/08/ss-manxman-do-you-care.html and will soon be scrapped, if it has not been done so already.

The Whimbrel fund cant get the cash to bring an intact ship home, to the Battle of the Atlantic Port. http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2010/12/hms-whimbral-what-ever-happened-to.html

£17,000 would have saved the MV Wincham being cut up by morons, who-ever was to blame they should have been scrapped http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2009/04/wincham-scrapped.html
Where is our sense of history http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2009/05/mv-wincham-and-museum-director-in.html How much more can we lose with badly thought through ideas from people who I would not let steer a pram never mind a heritage based organisation.

The Daniel Adamson Trust would love some money so the hard working volunteers can restore it.
http://www.danieladamson.co.uk/

And down the road, at Ellsmere Boat Museum, the forgotton home of numerous decaying ships, where they cant even raise a whip round for a box of teabags.
Wouldn't it have been common sense to make them a donation of U534 with a million quid to train apprentices..................no thats common sense. Miserytravel and its Director or should I say U-Boat Disector, Out of Control.

Why Did Merseytravel Spend £4.2 million Cutting Up Historic U-Boat, U534?

It is strange what you can find out when you put your mind to it. Miserytravels Board seem to be out of control and unnacountable to the public who pay their wages, but in todays climate the public are entitled to know the fiscal structure of the likes of Miserytravel, so a little bit of delving, that the Daily Ghost should be doing and look what turns up.

I suspected Merseytravel had spent a large sum of public money on the acquisition, preparation and installation of U534 but couldnt have imagined it would be £4.2 million. I am now even more disgusted at Scales and Dowd for spending £4.2 million of public money on what amounts to be a tourist attraction. Their business is Public Transport NOT tourist attractions. No wonder they flatly refuse to subsidise tunnel tolls for the residents of Wirral.

Mr Rimmer sums it up really £4.2 million of public money when care homes are being closed left right and centre I think it is fair comment to say it is a moronic state of affairs when we the public fund to the tune of £4.2 million.......... Miserytravels Whims.
Why was this not publicised in the local press.

Merseytravel Try To Gag Us. We Will Not Be Moved.

Not a chance, they at Merseytravel really should know better than wasting taxpayers money to take on personal grievences.
I wrote one of the articles that has caused offence to Merseytravel.
The truth often hurts, especially those with the biggest ego's. but FAIR COMMENT IS ALWAYS JUSTIFIED especially when unelected officials are in charge of so much money.

Merseytravel the company that commissioned the Building Design, (The Architects Weekly), 2009 Carbuncle Cup Winner, (that a collegue of ours nominated). The Terminal Ferry Carbuncle.
http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2009/08/liverpool-wins-carbuncle-cup.html

Are they out of control with a public art programme, that give us Ken Dodd with a kebab at Lime Street Station, wasting a fortune building a worthless piece of (s)crap.
Ken Dodd did once say you have to be a comedian to live here. Well I dont think its funny anymore watching uneducated people commissioning public realm that is no more than civic vandalism. (THIS IS FAIR COMMENT) http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2009/07/liverpool-european-capital-ofbad.html
The company that claims South Parkway as a station with world class destinations when the London trains can't stop there, and anyone getting off the adjacent Liverpool Airport has to get a bus into town and then get on a train that goes right past it because the platform isn't long enough for the trains to stop after it had £30,000,000 spent on it. Since when is Crewe a world class destination.
Where did all the money go. ( THIS IS FAIR COMMENT)
Mike Kiddy(?) the Miserytravel PR, may think he is doing a good job Kidding us, hiding these facts from the public. http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2011/02/liverpool-south-parkway-station.html

They cant get away with claiming they had to cut up the U-534 to save space and any idiot that knows Pythagoras's theorem, will understand that if you cut something up it takes more space. http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2010/06/u-534-cut-up-into-five-pieces-by-neil.html
But they cant kid us Mr Kiddy.
Without even delving into the Trams fiasco, oh alright then just a bit,  Miserytravel have wasted 70 million pounds of public funds and are still getting away with it http://www.liverpoolcultureblog.co.uk/2009/07/merseytram-off-the-rails-for-good/
Why were they promoting a line to Kirkby? Is it to help Liverpools Visions boss Sir Terry Leahy and at the time, and his Tesco empire expansion? Are they kidding us? Was it to make friends and influence people so their head honchos can move in circles that benefit them.
We are now about to delve into all these questions.

Miserytravel incompetent clowns IT LOOKS LIKE FAIR COMMENT TO ME.
I dont think they at Miserytravel are in fact aware of what will ensue.

Are October Communications, now Aurora Media employed by Merseytravel?
A message to you all at Miserytravel...........You are not gagging any of us of FAIR COMMENT.
In fact quite the opposite we a the LPT will be making some further FOI act requests to you at Miserytravel and we believe they will show results that may be even more revealing than what we have already written.
REALLY YOU ARE NOT GOING TO GAG US. You are accountable.
Charles.
