St Lukes Liverpool-Memorial To The Blitz

TURNS INTO A PUB.

It is outragous that this great testament to the suffering and resiliance of the people of Liverpool during that terrible period, World War II.

It has now been consecrated as a drinking hole.

Called The Bombed Out Church by local people.

The site for the church was given by The 12^th Earl of Derby in 1791 on the condition that the land should never be used for any other purposes than that of a church. It was build under the careful supervision of John Foster Senior. The foundation stone was laid in 1811.

We understand that it needs maintanance but who asked the people of Liverpool if they agreed with the gesture to turn this Grade II* listed building from a place of solemnity and dignity into a bar.

The council should not have allowed this to happen.

There are covenents in the deeds.

Who made this decsison?

It must have been the city councillors for Riverside ward and we see two names that crop up again and again wherever there are financial descisions that benefit the few over the many.

Councillor Steve Mumby and Christine Banks.

She is the licencing committee chairperson that has helped turn Liverpool into the Hen Party Capital it is today.

Just what was thier involvement in this outragous idea to insult the people who lost their lives during the Blitz and turn this Grade II* listed memorial into a place for worshiping booze.

Who granted the planning permission for this?

Is it the same dodgy planners that have been there for a while, through all the corrupted property Back'Anderson deals?

While the city has turned into Capital of Corruption.

A city where the Mayor and his cohort Nick Kavanagh along with the highways chief Andy Barr were all rounded up by the Old Bill.

Lawrence Kenwright thought he had bought it from Mayor Joe Back'Anderson.

Lawrence Kenwrights Giant Ponzi Scheme Goes Bust.

Most people knew what he was up to.
None of Liverpools reputable estate agents, if there is such a thing, would touch him.
They all knew he was operating a giant Pyramid Scheme where one development was funding another.
 The council planning department bent over backwards to accommodate him.
 Nick Kavanagh who is being investigated for fraud in a public office rushed through the plans for his James Street hotel development.....................there should be an investigation into this.
Someone died because of inadequate handrailing not picked up by building regulations.
And he did his own asbestos survey.

After ruining several listed buildings as what he described as luxury(sic) hotels in the city. It now transpires his customers were eating mouse droppings for years and that he had stopped the reporting of this by applying for restrictions while the court case was ongoing.

Now the dodgy developer is claiming that the council stitched him up.

In today's Liverpool Echo, who may we say have acted as his own personal PR company for a while.
It was alledged that his wife was once employed by them.

He wanted to turn it into a wedding venue. We alerted the local press and it was kyboshed.

Eliot Lawless Giant Liverpool Ponzi Scheme Collapse.

Liverpool developer Elliot Group will be placing three schemes into administration following funding problems brought about by allegations of fraud and corruption against the company’s founder, Elliot Lawless.
Lawless, who was arrested on December 18, 2019, denies all allegations.Paul Cooper and David Rubin of David Rubin & Partners, based in London, have been brought in to assist Elliot Group’s efforts to protect the existing investors and creditors of the three companies going into administration.
So, the Ponzi Scheme collapses and more Chinese and other overseas Investors will get stung.

We say a full investigation is required into how he spent a million pounds on his ex council flat at Beetham Plaza spending £35,000 on a single lampshade and lining the whole building with exotic marbles. 
He combined the whole top floor buying up of several Penthouses combining them into one Super Penthouse.......overlooking Cunard Buildings.....Mayor Joe Andersons Office.
We also say an investigation into alledged links between family members of The Mayor and employees of Eliot Lawless's companies.
SO NOW PLOD IS INVESTIGATING WHAT THE WHOLE OF THE CITY OF LIVERPOOL KNEW. Will they do it right.

Nick Kavanagh and Elliot Lawless Arrested on Bribery and Corruption Charges.

Both were released after questioning on conditional bail.

Police arrested Mr Lawless, aged 32, at his city centre flat. 

That he has spent one million pounds, yes a Million pounds restoring from its ex council office style 1960's building into his new swanky pad.

This pad overlooks Joe Anderson's offices at Cunard Buildings.

SHOULD THE POLICE CHECK ALL THE DELIVERY NOTES TO THE ADDRESS OF HIS APARTMENT and is THERE IS A POSSIBILITY THAT SOME OF THE MATERIALS MAY HAVE BEEN BOOKED ELSEWHERE??????? 

THEY, and the HMRC REALLY SHOULD CHECK AS HE HAS SOME PUBLIC FUNDED CONTRACTS. 

Why was he given the contract to restore publicly owned properties?

 Is there where the alleged misapropriation has taken place?

Mr Kavanagh, aged 50, was arrested in his office. He was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to defraud and misconduct in a public office.

Mr Lawless was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to defraud, bribery and corruption.

Mr Kavanagh was appointed director for regeneration at the city council in 2011 and is in charge of the city’s major regeneration schemes.A Merseyside Police statement said: “A 32-year-old man from Liverpool city centre has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to defraud, bribery and corruption.

Police said “Whilst a 50-year-old man, employed by Liverpool City Council, has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to defraud and misconduct in public office.”

Mr Lawless said: “This is a frustrating turn of events as we are extremely busy delivering major schemes across the north.

“I’m helping the police fully with their enquiries and am more than happy to do so. It is important that I clear my good name quickly and that we move on from this.

“The allegations are completely baseless but due process needs to be followed and whilst the police do their work I’ll not comment further on the issue.

“In the meantime, it’s business as usual. I have seven live schemes in Liverpool to deliver and am back at my desk doing just that.”

YES HE WOULD SAY THAT OR IS IT WORDS CONJURED UP BY HIS PR COMPANY. 

Which may or may not be run by Jon Egan and co who also PR personally for Joe Anderson and the council and several publicaly funded bodies.
Mr Lawless, a former plumber, who drives a Bentley is the founder of the Elliot Group which is working on major schemes in Liverpool and Salford.

Schemes include the £170m redevelopment of Heap’s Rice Mill, the £100m redevelopment of Wolstenholme Square, the £100m Aura student scheme and a scheme including 1,000 apartments on Leeds Street in Liverpool.

Lawrence Kenwrights Carbuncle-The Shankly Hotel.

Only an Evertonian could have done this.

Building Design, the architect weekly has paid Liverpool a lot of attention in recent years.

With good reason.

2009 winner, the Terminal Ferry carbuncle at the Pier Head won the (un)coveted title of the worst bit of construction that year.

One Park Worst by Cesar Peli on Chavasse lawn came third.

The giant squashed ciggy packet and ROME MAXXI lookalike that is, The Museum of Liverpool also at The Pier Head designed by 3XN, who subsequently got sacked, came runner up in 2011.

The following year Liverpools Architectural tragedy The Three Black coffins on Mann Island,designed by Matt Brook of Broadway Malyan was runner up.

We never nominated this year 2018 Nomination The Shankly Hotel Liverpool......we got beat to it.

The beautifully detailed lead roofed, Louis XVth Style end of the block, with its Corinthian pilasters and its beautifully designed sculptures had already been butchered by the council to some extent for Millenium House.

But nothing could have anticipated what landed, on the top of the block.

 The rooftop extension was constructed illegally by Kenwright as boss of Signature Living who seems to believe his own hype. 

He then was made to submit a retrospective planning application after numerous complaints about him flouting the planning laws. 

Mates with Fat Joe it was sure to be passed though.

Anyone else would have been made to take it down.

Signature Living have threatened BD with legal action for what he called libellous comments.

Some people cant bear to hear the truth, and the truth is that this publicity seeking individual who runs the organisation is out of control, not only in his own mind, he always was a architectural disaster waiting to happen.

If he is not stopped he will help enable the city to be judged by the hen parties who are unfortunate enough to stay at his hotels as a blight on the city and the great heritage that we once had.
Oh hang on most of them are that pissed when they get here they struggle to find his hotel.

This particular block styled as a flat iron to fit on the site was sold to Kenwright by Liverpool City Council, so they have to uphold his attempts at becoming Bob the Builder so they don't look even more stupid than they are.

How many deals are done under the counter these days by the Oligarchs who run the council?

How does Bob the Blunderer get away with providing such boring space and then getting it passed by the pathetic planners.

What is unquestionable is that Liverpool is now a architectural mess. If you don't like it don't read on. The waterfront is an architectural abortion and Liverpool retains its infamous badge of being on The World Heritage 'In Danger' list.

The clowns at the council run by Fat Joe are the least able people to judge architecture. So they should not be passing anything that hits the planning table.

The laughing stock that Liverpool is becoming in architectural circles, among those who can bear to look at the abomination that has happened is staying silent right now. They are scared to open their mouths for fear of being unpatriotic to the great city.

The more of you you that don't wake up to reality and show your mentality the more you will have people like Kenwright writing the articles for the Liverpool Echo and thus pulling the wool over the thick people who read it.

Lets hope The Shankly Hotel Extension wins the Carbuncle Cup award not only as a justified winner but as an example of what is befalling a city that now looks worse than when we had no investment. That is covered in high rise student flat carbuncles.

Joe Anderson and Lawrence Kenwright's Signature Living Land Deal Exposed In Private Eye.

Private Eye entitles the article in the current edition, in ROTTEN BOROUGHS, CLASS ACT. Just who is writing all this stuff for Private Eye? We call it dodgy dealing right in front of the eyes of the public, and the local press, who should be watching what the property developing Mayor Joe Anderson is doing with our public funds. Some Time ago Wayne campaigned to bring some life back into the historic Albion House after it had lain there empty for years claiming it would be a perfect place to link Liverpool, on a global stage with the huge interest of the tragic events, that happened on the fateful night, when the Titanic was sunk. "There is so much public interest that it couldn't go wrong". he said. Sure enough Joe Anderson's mate Lawrence Kenwright must have been listening and miraculously got his hands on a pile of cash. 

Despite being previously banned as a company director. (you don't just get banned as a company director for bad book-keeping).

 But Joe Anderson and Co don't seem to care who they give the council assets to,  such as Municipal House in Victoria Street. 

 Kenwright was also the character that come up, out of nowhere, (and do we believe him) with a dodgy scheme to steal St Lukes Church from its rightful place as a monument to the blitz.

If the wag bar at the new Titanic Theme Hotel is anything to go by, thank god he never got it and the public outrage made Anderson stop and think.    

The local papers called this refurbishment of Albion House a good news story without any checks pouring publicity over the opening.........even picturing Anderson on the steps of the new hotel with the Kenwright's, giving it a big thumbs up.
