Derek Hattons Wife Sonjia-Works In Liverpool Planning Department

AS A PLANNING OFFICER AT LIVERPOOL CITY COUNCILS PLANNING DEPARTMENT.

Derek Hatton, the ex Deputy leader of Liverpool and all round bad smell from the 80's wife, Sonjia, is moled up in Liverpool's planning oriffice at Cunard Buildings. As a planning officer.

Hard to believe?     Read More Here

It is fact that she will have access to some very sensitive information. Information.

We make no assumptions here.

Only to say 'It does not look good'. She had been working in a different council department and moved jobs. So who appointed her?  Derek Hatton has recently been arrested in connection with corruption.

Did alarm bells not ring at how this may look to the public? With Degsys past history.

Derek Hatton of course got off with a charge of delegating council land to one of his mates, his tailor John E Monk who had a business adjacent Hattons premises at Pembroke Place.  For tens of thousands. It is now worth millions. Planning bounce of course.

In Liverpool there is an old saying. There's no smoke without fire.

Two cars were recently torched outside the house of Mr Hatton shortly after his arrest.

Obviously an accident!

In a FOI request relating to a planning application in Ducie Street Liverpool 8. Asking questions.

This is a matter that several Liverpool city council staff have complained about that, Mr Derek Hatton walks around the floors of the Cunard, as if he was a full-time acting staff member.

Also asking if Joe "Back"Anderson has ever visited the site.

https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/derek_hatton_mr_m_guy_of_west_tr

Several other requests have been submitted relating to the topic of the Hattons involvement in local planning applications.

Degsy, an Evertonian, is a fifth columnist in the Liverpool Echo. Hiding in plain sight.

Joe Anderson an Evertonian had a pet project. A new footy pitch in the World Heritage site on Peel Holdings land.

He copied an old friend of  and Liverpool Echo columnist, Frank McKenna, by quoting; “World Heritage is just a badge on the wall, at the town Hall” McKenna's also a toffee nose has a client, Peel Holdings owners of Media city in Salford and landlords of the BBC and ITV.

You see, its all wheels within wheels.

https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/liverpool-news/liverpool-council-leader-joe-anderson-3354111

Degsy who runs a business in the constituency of Councillor "Nasty" Nick Small is quite vocal with his opinions often commenting on planning matters in his column.

Saying that Liverpool should lose WHS status by filling in the historic Bramley Moore Dock to build a new stadium for Everton FC. Ripple Effect a company that his family owned that was sold to Trinity Mirror had several clients. One of them Everton FC then became a client of Trinity Mirror.

Wheels within wheels. They are PR'ing it all for their clients.

WHAT ELSE WAS HE INVOLVED IN?

Alarm bells ringing? Not at Trinity "Smoking" Mirrors

The Liverpool Echo used to have a slogan 'A friend dropping through the letterbox......Only now its in a brown envelope.

Josh Parry-Shoddy Journalism. Following a Long Tradition Of PR @Trinity "Smoking"Mirror

Its only a matter of time before, like a Banksy Rat jumping ship, the new kids on the block at Trinity "Smoking" Mirrors, or as know locally The Oldham Echo take the path to PR and print exactly what the council want them to.
Take a look at todays offering.
The Futurist is demolished despite huge public opinion and they are now to keep a breeze block.......and thats suppose to be news headlines, Come on!
Josh Parry you should be ashamed of yourself this is shoddy journalism indeed.
Now the "new kid" starts helping the rehabilitation process of the city council and their "Cosy" developer mates Neptune Developments after The Futurist was demolished in an act of Civic Vandalism.
This is no more than an advertorial piece of trash.

Josh you may still be in short kecks and be getting your nose wiped by David Bartlett but there are no excuses for this level of dross that have filled the Oldham Echo pages on the 13th September 2016.
Unlucky for some, but there are many gullible Echo readers.
In fact you would have to be gullible to buy the trash.
http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.co.uk/2012/08/david-bartlett-takes-city-council-to.html

Shoddy journalism may be encouraged by Alastair Machray but once that corner is turned into the abyss of "hear no evil speak no evil", there is no turning back.
do a dance with the devil and you know the outcome young Josh.
It takes years of training to become a Liverpool Echo double dealing two face PR. allowing themselves to be spoon-fed like little children by local dodgy property developers PR molls who are well seasoned in manipulating the new snotty nosed kids on the block.
Not mentioning any names. errrr Jon Egan and his mate Mo.
Remember Liam Murphy and his PR spin for Peel.
In this internet age, he was happy telling the whole world that Peel have an investor, Stella Shiu, a high ranking Chinese government official who was protected by Kalashnikov wielding bodyguards. Who we exposed as a bankrupt in Hong Kong.
So now we have Josh Parrot stating that by knocking down the Futurist it is opening up new exciting views of the city. Yes parrots just repeat what people tell them.
You should be ashamed of yourself. Just look at the Stazi blocks that you can now see. Have he been out the office in the last year.
http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.co.uk/2009/08/concourse-house-one-step-forward-and.html

He is now stating that a Banksy.........may have been found. Yes may have been found.
What a plant, and its worked.
The caption next to the cartoon, even reads "This is not a Banksy" and he still thinks it may be.
There is one born every minute.
Here is yesterdays post. This is where the headline is, you clown.
http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.co.uk/2016/09/joe-anderson-spends-2000000-to-demolish.html
We will not believe a word he says in future.
This article is a disgrace to the many good journalists out there who try to do decent work.
Parry may not like it but if he takes the time to have a long hard look at himself he this criticism may do him a favour. Though I suspect not.
Alastair Machray who has sacked more than half the staff and sent the printing press to Oldham, has obviously had to edit this trash. But he is a large part of the problem with little or no respect.
http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.co.uk/2013/08/alastair-machray-apologises-but-its-too.html

Boycott The Echo you know it makes sense.

Marc Waddington Of The Liverpool Echo Gets It Spot On.

Fed up with Liverpool Echo Advertorials by Alastair Machray & Co at Trinity 'Smoking' Mirrors at Oldham Hall Street we find it surprising that this bit of writing escapes the censors. We don't have to add to it just click on the picture.
Now maybe Marc could continue with the good work and look into the planning corruption that is going on right before his eyes.
Alastair Machray is in charge of the third rate journo's who have been turning a blind eye to the planning corruption while being spoon fed by the property developers PR companies. Shame on you Mr Machray....well done Marc lets have some more.

Joe Anderson says "Waterfront Is Our Best Asset-After He Has Got Us Placed On The Unesco World Heritage 'In Danger"' List

You couldn't make this up.
Only in Liverpool can a Mayor be such a bold faced property developers friend and get away with it. come back Derek Hatton all is forgiven. Oh he is already back.
Il Duce Anderson is the reason Liverpool is on the In Danger list and he now he, along with his Daily Poodles at the Liverpool Echo gets a soundbite that give the impression that he cares about it.
While allowing his minions such as Rob Burns to run riot over all the rules of planning based on good practice.

While Liverpool becomes the European Capital of Potholes he tells all his property developing friends at MIPIM the jolly junket that he will bend over backwards to help them.

And all reported by Peels poodle Tony McDonough and edited by Alastair Machray.

The Oldham Echo-Alastair Machray Has The Cheek To Ask Whats Wrong With The Echo. #TellAli his paper is corrupt.

No wonder the news is always late here is a picture of the Echo Delivery Barge winding its way down The Manchester Ship Canal from its printing press in Oldham.
Now the Editor In Chief, of Trinity "Smoking" Mirrors, Alastair Machray realising that the Echo is now a dead man walking, (we warned them of this when the Daily Post went downhill).
He then has the cheek to ask whats wrong with the paper telling the public he is going to listen to the comments.
Don't believe a word of what this man says. He and his cronies deserve the fate that awaits them. Machray has brought this once trusted institution to its knees to a place where it has become a byword for PR trash and news put together from the Mayor Joe Andersons PR website.
We have been warning them for years and now they say they will listen. Don't believe a word #TellAli says the paper will not change the only reason they are trying to kick up a PR frenzy is to sell papers.
So if you want to buy a paper that helps the Manchester economy then go ahead.
Here's a better one#TellAli to Resign and we will all be better off.

Tony McDonough Of The Liverpool Echo. Is He Peels Poodle?.

Another Advertorial for Peel Holdings from Trinity "Smoking" Mirrors of Oldham Hall Street.
Again from Tony MacDonut.
He seems to be a lap dog for Peel Holdings printing, in our opinion whatever they say.......without scrutiny or balance.
The whole article says nothing, repeats all the past promises, but it is dressed up as a good news story for MacNuts mates at Peel.
Four years after plans for Liverpool Waters, and even longer for Wirral Waters were passed, not a brick has been laid.
Not a mention of the twenty thousand jobs that Peel said they would create.
Just how they will do this while hiding the fact that Peel are now trying to offload the land to any dodgy Chinese investor with a few bob. Cash in their assets.

Not a mention of Ashworth's very own China Girl, Stella Shiu being exposed in Private Eye or the FT.
Shame on you McDonough.
MacDonut is blind to the facts, too intent on falling over himself backwards to be in with Peel, that he kids the public with maybe's.
There are better journalists than him, in our opinion, at The Merseymart...oh, thats now owned by Trinity "Smoking" Mirror. They will probably use the same article in the Bootle Times, such is the lack of quality.

There are so many of the so called journalists moonlighting as PR consultants that you have to ask are some the staff  of The Liverpool Echo being paid twice.
Once from the phone hacking Trinity "Smoking" Mirror Group and  then again from the company that they are PR-ing for?
The Liverpool Echo
It really has sunk to an all time low.
Now we are not saying that they always take the cash for little moonlighting jobs, but maybe a little freebie or two, a little bit of entertaining or three.
We do have knowledge of this. watch this space.
If it does not stop Machrays superiors will be informed.
Because as the editor, he lets it go on.
Most of them are doing it. It becomes the norm.

http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.co.uk/2013/12/david-bartlett-shoddy-journalist-why.html

Look at recent PR-ing for Lawrence Kenwright and his wife Katie of Signature Living.
Did she work for the Echo once?
Here is what Private Eye wrote.
http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.co.uk/2014/08/joe-anderson-and-lawrence-kenwrights.html

But Alastair Machray the disrespectful editor of the Liverpool Echo, completely ignored this and spoon fed the public with more tripe ignoring the facts about Kenwright being banned as a company director.
Its a tale of two cities.
The one that the Echo journalists live in, and the real world.
Its about time they changed sides before they have no readers left.

India Buildings-We Welcome A Coffee Shop

More shoddy reporting from the Liverpool Echo has led to some confusion about our recent objections to plans for The Historic India Buildings.

http://condensedthoughts.blogspot.co.uk/2014/01/never-in-month-of-sundays.html

How can they keep getting things wrong and be so deluded.

Boycott the Sunday Echo!!!!!
We supported the idea for a coffee shop within the historic arcade but objected to a meeting room in a vacant retail unit.

The landlords have wanted to put offices in the arcade for some time and we worry if this is the thin end of the wedge.

Green Property has recently invested substantial sums into the building but it still remains largely empty.

Wayne assisted with the idea for a coffee shop after the person who wanted to open it was told that the landlords would not wish to go ahead with the project giving extensive reasons such as smells and people loitering in the arcade.

The planning application 13L/2472 that was undemocratically passed by delegated powers at the planning office and Joe Anderson ignored a petition that was agreed to be passed on to the planners by the comments deadline.

http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.co.uk/2014/01/mayor-joe-anderson-fails-to-deliver.html

The plans were to close two entrance doors to Water Street and fit a revolving door to the remaining thus restricting access to an arcade that was built over Chorley Street. The landlords now say they do not wish to close off the public access.

The plans then morphed into a new set of plans with a meeting room attached to the coffee shop although the applicant plans were named as Chemistry coffee they were in fact submitted by the landlords and Wayne as a concerned shopkeeper went to address the planning committee. It was clear that as he helped to constitute the idea for a café that he did not object to Chemistry opening a shop but both he and other shopkeepers agreed that a meeting room was in fact wrong for the arcade as the retailers needed help and assistance.

It was always going to be passed by the planning committee poodles who do resemble at best nodding dogs, they never disagree with a planning department that is corrupted, so what’s the point in having them.

Can it be as bad as Doreen Jones and David Irving’s poodles.

http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.co.uk/2010/03/david-irving-as-chairman-of-liverpools.html

The journalist who reported on the planning committee failed to understand this aspect of his speech and the usual bad editing has led to half a story.

One thing is certain without the controversy and the publics concern for the beautiful Holts Arcade the announcement of a coffee shop opening would not have been an event.

So it has got India Buildings back in the spotlight.

We wish Ian of Chemistry Coffee success in his venture in the magnificent Holts Arcade of India Buildings.

David Bartlett-Shoddy Journalist. Why Did You Not Look Into Stella Shiu and Peel Holdings? J'accuse.

After The Financial Times article Friday 29.11.3 and its focus on Stella Shiu and Peel Holdings.
We ask today why the local press are hiding facts from the public.

http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/f6e8dda8-582f-11e3-82fc-00144feabdc0.html#axzz2mEDwy62t

The FT article was then spun around a corner by Marc Waddington and turned into a jolly good story.
It was co-written by Liam Murphy who should be made to resign for the utter garbage that he has written about Stella Shiu being a high ranking Chinese Government official. We sent this Private Eye article to him and all hacks at Old Hall Street http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.co.uk/2013/05/stella-shiu-exposed-in-private-eye.html

Even now they mislead the public
http://www.liverpooldailypost.co.uk/news/liverpool-news/wirral-council-confident-china-investment-6357056

We have great concerns about the level of journalism at Trinity "Smoking" Mirror here on Merseyside.
Wayne won David Bartlett an award for his world heritage writing.
He would cut and paste what he had written (check the dates they all appear the day after we printed them) throw a few misquotes in and put his name to it.
Today we accuse him of burying news from the Liverpool public.
Wayne says "I used to help him as much as I could naively thinking it would help our cause of saving the world heritage site, but then I started to notice how he would cherry pick what he wanted and drop other things in to suit what he wanted to write.
Now that he has been promoted to News Editor level we are extremely worried.
We decided some time ago to bypass the local press as we consider they don't tell the truth. There is an old saying "If you lay with dogs, you get fleas"

Our movement is growing and we intend to stay focused on the truth not half truths twisted by trained seals."

Here is a series of emails between Wayne on behalf of LPT and David Bartlett.
In light of the recent articles in the FT you decide whether he has buried the truth.
Just so you know whats happening and what the press knows here is proof that the local press deny you information and will not engage in sensible debate.
Andy Kelly the then News Editor, was also aware of concerns we have about Stella Shiu he was sent Private Eye articls and buried them. Mark Thomas and Alastair were also advised of Private Eyes reporting....yet did nothing.

David you recently wrote a jolly good uplifting story about Peel Holdings
http://www.liverpooldailypost.co.uk/liverpool-news/regional-news/2013/03/07/chinese-government-approve-flow-of-millions-of-pounds-into-merseyside-99623-32935610/

You will of course be aware that I have been asking you to check into the finances of Peel for over a year and its links to the Chineses government.
In order to trust the local press we have to know that they have checked their sources and are in fact not just doing press releases from whoever they may see fit.
We have to know the local press are not biased towards property developers that will, in Peels case lose us WHS status using blackmail and threats to back out of projects if they dont get thier way.

1. Where did this story eminate from.
2. What ckecks did you do to confirm that the Chinese Government is in fact on board. Did you contact them or just take someones word?
3. What checks have you done to confirm Peel have the finances or the structure to deal with such ambitious schemes considering the projects all over the country they are proposing.

4.Did you consider that in writing this story you are in fact endorsing the relationship of Stella Shui and San-Wa minerals with Peel Holdings making this look like a gigantic enterprise set up by the Chinese government at a time when there is huge corruption in China.
Where are the checks that we as a city do not get bound up in all this?

Please would you let me know how you checked this story?
I would appreciate a reply

Wayne

David thanks for call half an hour ago.
I understand the paper does not have enough journalists and those working there are overworked ...........but this has gone far enough now.
I have enclosed a Private Eye article that I have contributed with the sole intention of bypassing the local press who its seems are insistent on building up Stella Shiu while doing nothing in the way of checks.
I do not go with your view that she may have had financial problems in Hog Kong but that does not mean it has no effect here in the UK.
The fact that I have had to do it for you and pass it to you, and you still ignore it makes the situation seem bizarre.
I would go as far as to say it appears an editorial stance that you or your colleague Liam Murphy do no checks to substantiate your articles wherever Stella Shiu or Peels invisible finances rear their head.
Who said she was a government official this is a question I asked you and you could not answer.

I requested that you look into the finances of Peel and Stella Shiu and you said you couldnt because you are overworked.

So am I And I have better things to be doing than trawling my way through misrepresentational reporting in order to fight what me and my colleagues perceive as heritage battles ie. save Liverpools Working Heritage site while getting reconstruction.

I will ask you once again to look into the structure of Peel Holdings in view of the recent Private Eye article

As to your request to take it to Chris Walker I am asking you in a detailed and balanced manner to redress your reporting that has built up Peel and Sam Wa to mythical proportions...when common sense says there appears to b rather a lot of smoking mirrors going on.

The Cenotaph-St Georges Plateau Liverpool-Upgraded To Grade I by English Heritage.

We received this letter from EH yesterday and apologise wholeheartedly for not publishing it yesterday on 11th November as a fitting tribute not only to the fine architecture that grace's the magnificent St Georges Plateau, but also to all those brave men and woman, who gave their lives so we can be free.
So we can say our piece, to question and challenge the authority of people who wish to contain the vested interests of the minority. The upgrading of the list is a most respectful reminder to the debt that we all owe to previous generations.

Are you reading this Alastair Machray down in Oldham Hall Street you ignorant little man. http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.co.uk/2013/05/the-liverpool-echo-sinks-to-all-time.html

Joe Anderson, Mayor of Liverpool Does Not Care About Liverpools Historic Past.

Joe Anderson is not concerned with Liverpool’s Historic Past.

This is what we wrote weeks ago 22nd July.
It has taken 3 months for the jokers at Trinity “Smoking” Mirror, A corrupted regime, led by a Moron, Alastair Machray, to get around to taking notice of it. 3 months after plans were passed
Liverpool to Lose Two More Listed Buildings. 86-90 Duke Street.
How Many More Can We Lose?.

46 listed buildings were destroyed during the Fib Dems.

How many more listed buildings can we lose in Liverpool?
Mike Storey and Warren "War Zones" Bradley's administration were ignorant to history but Joe Anderson is proving to be worse than the both of them.
We don't have a Conservation Officer anymore.

We don't have a World Heritage Officer anymore. (What good he was anyway)
What is being done to protect us from poor development when the people doing the checking are in with the developers even giving them grants?

Here is an email sent to the planning department regarding

Site Address 86-90 Duke Street, 71 Henry Street and 14 Suffolk Street Liverpool L1 5AA

http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.co.uk/2013/07/liverpool-daily-post-frank-mckennas.html

No wonder developers are crawling over this area.
This is opposite The Monro Public House.

The one time Manager of the Monro was a local famous local politition. In fact a Mayor. Who was He?

Answers on a postcode please and address it to the Mayors Office.

Letter to the planning office

Ms Kirkbride
Site Address 86-90 Duke Street, 71 Henry Street and 14 Suffolk Street Liverpool L1 5AA
We wish to object quite strongly to the fact that two listed buildings in the Duke Street area are to be lost.
This is also within the World Heritage Ste and Liverpool is on the Unesco In Danger list

Application Number13C/0891
Site Address86-90 Duke Street, 71 Henry Street and 14 Suffolk Street Liverpool L1 5AA
We may not be able to get someone to attend the meeting but regarding the application we would wish that our comments be read out at the planning meeting.
We consider this application to be flawed.
Liverpool has lost 46 listed buildings in the past decade and cannot afford to lose anymore

Alastair Machray Apologises-But Its Too Little Too Late

So how come the editor of Trinity Mirror Group here on Merseyside was able to get away with this?

http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.co.uk/2013/05/the-liverpool-echo-sinks-to-all-time.html

He makes a fool out of the city by throwing a headline together, that is in such bad taste that the Admiralty were made aware of it.
Burgers and Ships, it read, at the start of the Battle of the Atlantic commemorations, or as the silly paper displayed more than once, Battle of the Atlantic celebrations.

The staff there at Old Hall Street have let him get out of control by not checking the man, by allowing him to subject the papers representations, and by doing so, theirs.
By giving out freebies from one of his mates, probably, at the Golf Club and chumming it along in a headline Machray has become a fool in the eyes of his journalists, some of who do work hard while others act as Frank McKenna's PR.

http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.co.uk/2013/07/frank-mckenna-is-alastair-machray-his.html

But not one of his scared little men challenged him; nobody will dare stand up to him.
Would they be Bevan Boys in times of war?.
It is no wonder the papers have lost circulation when the editor cannot be trusted.

A free burger from Iceland and his little bit of fun, by the man with the big title of, Editor in Chief, made all those news poodles look even more stupid than they already often do. With their ragged edge reporting direct from the council website and the numerous PR firms with ex Daily Post and Echo employees spinning rubbish, out of control.
You should be ashamed of yourselves, really you should. There was time that your employees were respected, now you cant be trusted. http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.co.uk/2013/07/boycott-liverpool-echo-you-know-it.html
Why nobody challenged him, is why he gets away with taking the paper down to such a low level, as low as, The Sun.

http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.co.uk/2013/07/should-alastair-machray-be-sacked-from.html

Members of the local Naval representation were shocked and horrified we were told, they felt let down and humiliated
Those that lie on the bottom of the sea that lost their lives tossed and turned for sure when, in our opinion, the ignorant man declared it to be a little bit of fun.
It is hard to put into words how small a man is, when he does not even realise his mistakes, when he is representing a city, that lost a generation, that fought for the undignified mans freedom of expression.

The press complaints commission, a waste of time, said they couldn’t investigate, what, they, called, bad taste.

So a front cover of humiliation proportions and Machray pints a one-inch square as an apology buried at the foot of the page so no one will notice.

How does he think he can get away with this?

Boycott The Liverpool Echo-You Know It Deserves It.

For too long now the rubbish that has been printed in the Liverpool Echo, edited by Alaistar Machray has gone unchallenged. You have watched while they have hidden facts and replaced those true facts with mistruths that are fed to them by shady PR companies.

We think it time that we watched very carefully just what the corrupted regime at Trinity "Smoking" Mirror Group at Oldham Hall Street is up to.

http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.co.uk/2013/07/should-alastair-machray-be-sacked-from.html And all you out there, especially Machray's Minions take a long hard look at the culture that exists. St Andrews Church Sold To A Convicted Fraudster For A Quid!!!!

Liverpool council have agreed to sell the Grade II-listed St Andrews Church, in Rodney Street, to Nigel Russell’s construction arm, Middle England Developments, for £1. Marc Waddington wrote, for the Daily Post which it says understands some council officers were aware of Mr Russell’s convictions in the USA – which saw him stripped of his right to deal in real estate in South Carolina – but had not informed senior directors until after the deal had been recommended.

Mr Russell said his conviction was “in the past” and he didn’t wish to discuss it. The council’s own rules state that “when determining whether or not the applicant is fit and proper, the council must have regard to certain offences relating to fraud, sexual offences and contraventions of housing or landlord and tenant law”.

Opposition leaders have also raised concerns about claims allegedly being made to investors about Penlake’s operations in the city.

Under the arrangement, investors pay a lump sum of around £48,000 per unit and are guaranteed a £6,000 return in the first year only.

Are Liverpool City Council Corrupt?

SAVE LIVERPOOL'S WORLD HERITAGE SITE-From The Local Spiv Lobby.

You chip away trying to put an argument forward showing what we will lose if World Heritage Site Status is removed.
But it is always being undermined by the local media with their close links to developers and their misguided principles.
The Spiv lobby, partly made up of previous redundo's and outcasts who now hawk their wares around the local reporting media seem to get their way far too often.
Take Mark Thomas............please,will someone take the editor of the Daily Post, and explain to him some principles.
My opinion is that he has been tainted and having had such a hard time,  he thinks if he hides below the water line and administer the sackings nobody will notice.
Whilst claiming in writing, in the paper that we as campaigners are costing jobs he slashes them on behalf of his employers who shipped out all the printing presses to Oldham.
Some people need to take a hard look at themselves.
Today's opinion goes on about creating jobs by giving Peel Holdings planning permission to trash the World Heritage Site, while he is the grim reaper at the Daily Post dishing out redundancy money to anyone who will take it.
I spoke to David Bartlett Thursday last and advised him of a threat to London and he first said we cant do anything about this. Then he phoned me back and said " Oh yes we can now" I knew it was going to be a stitch up job at Editor level. Davids piece was alright.
http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/liverpool-news/local-news//tm_headline=liverpool-joined-by-london-in-world-heritage-status-battle%26method=full%26objectid=29893807%26siteid=100252-name_page.html

so it is a case of keeping the local press informed, but I think that is about it now.
http://www.liverpooldailypost.co.uk/liverpool-news/regional-news/2011/12/05/london-landmarks-palace-of-westminster-and-tower-of-london-now-under-unesco-world-heritage-spotlight-after-liverpool-visit-92534-29893809/

But the extremists at the Daily Ghost lead me to think that they are in on all this and the local media are far too close to the developers and local groups of Spivs such as Downtown Liverpool who Joe Anderson is far too close to also.

Today's Daily Ghost opinion is another desperate attempt for the editor to curry favour with his mates.....in my opinion. http://www.liverpooldailypost.co.uk/views/liverpool-daily-post/2011/12/05/heritage-lobby-is-trying-too-hard-92534-29894106/

Have the heritage lobby perhaps not fully appreciated the extraordinary impact of the ongoing recession?
Do they somehow think we would be willing to sacrifice jobs and investment because they say we should?  They say in today's Opinion.

Has the editor of the Daily Ghost not realised that some of us run businesses in the cultural sector and have aesthetic values and have realised that the trashing of the Pier Head may have created a small number of jobs but the cultural sacrifice is far too great.

While this editor has been employed the world heritage site has been trashed.

Why is he trying to pull the wool over the eyes of the public?
Just look at the state of Mann Island against what was there before.
Mark Thomas seems intent on losing us the WHS status.

STOP PRESS-Liverpool Daily Post is now the Daily Ghost.

It all started when they shipped out the printing presses to Oldham.
Barging Liverpool jobs out of the city down the Manchester Ship Canal.

Alastair Machray has let a lot of people go, some skilled and with the experience of decades of writing, with a knowledge of the locality that would be hard to replace.
They local press are now helping drum up a campaign to create Liverpool jobs by building Liverpool Waters.
And thus losing the World Heritage Site.
All this empty rhetoric after Peel Holdings are building Port Salford....and barging jobs down the Mersey, right under the noses of the local press.
While this current editorial team have been employed, they have cheered and supported every tacky scheme to carbunculate the World Heritage Site, while lunching with the press officers of the companies that were telling them, its all gonna be Ichonic.
Lets hope this switch to a weekly makes them think long and hard about the need to bring a bit of class into the local debate instead of the usual uninformed dullard approach and plumping for the council.
I don't like to see anyone lose their job, and have excellent relations with quite a number of employees, of the Post and Echo, but those who have been hiding behind the Trinity "Smoking" Mirrors at Oldham Hall Street should now look at the way they are viewed by the public and realise, what if nobody buys the Liverpool Weekly that will replace the Daily Post. Then it really will be the Daily Ghost.

Trinity "Smoking" Mirror Get Both Barrels.

Sales and profits at UK newspaper group Trinity Mirror have continued their decline in the first half of the year.

Revenues dropped 2.9% to £371m in the 26 weeks to 3 July, the company's latest interim results revealed.
Profits before tax fell to £28.9m - with underlying profits down 17% to £41.9m.
The firm may not itself be immune from the hacking scandal.

Three or four cases are due to be brought against the firm, according to lawyer Mark Lewis, who is representing a number of claimants, including the family of murdered schoolgirl Milly Dowler.
The firm said it was still too early to determine what impact there might be on its businesses from the public inquiry or an internal review of editorial controls.
"In addition the company has sought and received formal written confirmation from senior editorial executives... [that] they have not nor, to their knowledge, have any of their staff or anyone on their behalf, intercepted any telephone messages, made payments to serving police officers or accessed the police national computer."

However over at Oldham Hall Street everything seems fine, Trinity Mirror boosts investment.

Chief executive Sly Bailey said: “While the economic environment remains difficult we have undertaken a series of actions to limit the impact on operating profit.

“The roll-out of our technology led operating model continues to deliver efficiencies and today we have announced an increase in our 2011 cost savings target to £25m.
“At the same time we’re investing across the group to diversify and grow revenues.
“Following changes to the national Sunday newspaper market we are highly encouraged by the considerable circulation volume growth seen by our national Sunday titles.”

All this while Sly "Arse" Baily got a 300 grand bonus on top of her 600grand salary for making thousands of people redundant and leaving the local press exposed to accusations of shipping their own printing presses out of the city. http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2011/07/liverpool-daily-ghost-reflecting-local.html
Did Alastair Machray the grim reaper really become a journalist to sack hundreds of people.
The real reason for loss of circulation is you just cant trust them at Trinity "Smoking" Mirror Group.

Liverpool Daily Ghost-Reflecting Local News and Views.

This is  Mondays Daily Post page 27. The Daily Ghost has been full of the news that a new museum has opened at the Liverpool Pier Head and they reflected the views of, well themselves really.
So here is a half page declaration by Oldham Hall Street that they are reflecting local views and news............then they add a picture of Liverpool views that is 10 years old...........how clever. click on the pics for a closer look.
Dated Monday July 25th the add next to it says.
One day the person who delivered this newspaper may need our help.
They certainly do need help at Oldham Hall Street, so I just thought I would put them right with a picture of the same view as it now looks like, that the Local papers said would be brilliant for Liverpool because it would be Iconic.
The advertorial is genuinely for NewstrAid the helping hand of the news trade, it says.
Can I make a few suggestions as to who needs a bit of help, the idiot who edited this.

Museum of Liverpool-Next To Our Three Gently Ageing Edwardian Beauties...They Stick A Trashy Tart.

For 100 years the guardians of Liverpool The Three Graces the Port of Liverpool Building, The Cunard Building and the Liver Building have watched over us, and kept us proud.
The previous generation that left us a World Heritage Site on par with the Taj Mahal, Stone Henge and the Pyramids could feel proud.
These Three Graces, even to be mentioned in the same terms as Canova's Sculpture, have shown the pride we had in our city. Through all the darkened days of the blitz they stood there as a proud symbol of defiance to the Germans who bombed the gubbings out of us.
100 years later and we get a World Heritage Site and the morons who run the city do more damage than Herman Goering's squadrons and pillage the very thing that made us great...........our identity.
They promised us Iconic and give us Ichronic.
We have watched, well, we at the LPT have fought, while, the WHS has been carbunculated to a mere shadow of itself.
While the dodgy and corrupted councillors did backroom shady deals with their mates, they spived our spirit away. They sold our skyline.
What good is all the money in the world if you sell your soul, and we have lost the soul of our city.

We now today have the New Wacky Warehouse-on-Sea opening today with the same sort of Liverpool Daily Ghost and Oldham Echo that we have become accustomed to....trash reporting, give them a bit of crepe paper and they can get a thousand words out of it.
To think we once had educated editors who helped to shape our skyline.........that was until this bunch of amateurs who take their instructions from whatever PR company or dodgy lobby group that sponsors them came along.
So the new museum opens today, roll the carpets, unfurl the flags, the fanfares, pages of press.

The reality is that this is a tacky development plagued with controversy badly run over budget and in the wrong place..and its a sad day for Liverpool.
Combined with its three ugly sisters "the Black Coffins" at Mann Island, part of the same scheme, it really is like giving a pretty girl a black eye and knocking her teeth out and then saying "Smile isn't she pretty".

But you don't have to believe it if you don't want to, the local press Trinity "Smoking" Mirror Group don't.

Liverpool Waters-Back To The Drawing Board.

Liverpool Waters has been kyboshed in its present form after Unesco told the UK State Party that if it went ahead and passed proposals for Shanghai-On-Mersey it would destroy the Overall Universal Value (OUV) of Liverpools World Heritage Site (WHS).
This is a major blow to Peel Holdings who will be very shocked indeed as they are used to getting their own way.

So lets spell out some of the facts for our stupid local press who are owned by Peel Holdings, so they don't go blaming me for stopping the scheme and it may stop the editor Mark Thomas from behaving like a buffoon making elementary mistakes. I may ask for a retraction for some of this weeks scurrilous work by him in the Daily Ghost's OPINION.
Here is the exact Unesco decision, note it refers to a English Heritage Independent report.
118. Liverpool – Maritime Mercantile City (United Kingdom) (C 1150)

Decision: 35 COM 7B.118
The World Heritage Committee,
1. Having examined Document WHC-11/35.COM/7B.Add,
2. Expresses its extreme concern at the proposed development of Liverpool Waters in terms of the potential impact of its dense, high and mid-rise buildings on the form and design of the historic docks and thus on the Outstanding Universal Value of the property;
3. Notes that the independent Impact Assessment commissioned by English Heritage clearly sets out the significantly damaging negative impact on the Outstanding Universal Value of the property;
Decisions report WHC-11/35.COM/20, p. 150
4. Also notes that the proposed development is not in compliance with the property Management Plan nor with the Liverpool Urban Development Plan;
5. Urges the State Party to ensure that these proposals are not approved, as failure to do so could lead to consideration of loss of the Outstanding Universal Value of the property;
6. Requests the State Party to invite a joint World Heritage Centre/ICOMOS reactive monitoring mission, as soon as possible, to assess planning procedures and the overall development strategies for the property;
7. Also requests the State Party to submit to the World Heritage Centre, by 1 February2012, an updated report on the state of conservation of the property and on the implementation of the above, examination by the World Heritage Committee at its 36th session in 2012.

http://whc.unesco.org/archive/2011/whc11-35com-20e.pdf

It says that Liverpool is going against its own planning policy!!

So I broke it to the BBC and ITV ahead of the local chip paper and here is their reporting by the rather upset David Bartlett said he would have to put it on the Ghost website.  http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/liverpool-news/local-news//2011/07/12/unesco-warns-liverpool-will-lose-world-heritage-status-if-5-5bn-liverpool-waters-plan-goes-ahead-92534-29037287/

The BBC hit theirs in http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-merseyside-14124577

The next day the most deplorable bit of reporting from the Daily Ghost.
http://www.liverpooldailypost.co.uk/liverpool-news/regional-news/2011/07/13/liverpool-council-leader-joe-anderson-hopes-compromise-can-be-found-with-unesco-over-world-heritage-site-fears-92534-29042687/ wih a disgusting front page proclaiming if it was 1911 would we have built anything.
Well in 1911 we had good editors who helped to leave us a architectural legacy that give us a world heritage site, not this pathetic shower.
While Alastair Machray and Mark Thomas have been editors of the local press in 2011 just look what has happened to the WHS. How times change. http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2011/07/is-liverpool-daily-post-and-echo-owned.html

They claim they need this awful scheme to create jobs while lording over the fact that Peel are barging our docks to Salford.
Machray who has just made another tranche of people redundant this time in Runcorn, should take a long hard look at himself and ask himself, did he become a journalist to sack people.
Combine with the fact that they recently shipped all the printing jobs down the MANCHESTER SHIP CANAL, OWNED BY PEEL HOLDINGS TO OLDHAM.
We want no lectures from these deviants.

 http://www.liverpooldailypost.co.uk/liverpool-news/regional-news/2011/07/13/liverpool-council-leader-joe-anderson-hopes-compromise-can-be-found-with-unesco-over-world-heritage-site-fears-92534-29042687/

I gave Bartlett a statement that printed, read Wayne Colquhoun, of Liverpool Preservation Trust, which reported the scheme to Unesco, said: “Maybe this will make Peel now look to alternatives such as Amsterdam for more humane sustainable development that works well around its historic waterways because if they don't we will lose the WHS status and suffer the complete embarrassment of doing so in the eyes of the world.” http://www.liverpooldailypost.co.uk/liverpool-news/regional-news/2011/07/13/peel-and-liverpool-council-hit-back-at-unesco-over-liverpool-waters-threat-to-world-heritage-site-status-92534-29042688/2/

They then wrote up a Daily Post Opinion.
HOW CAN THEY TURN THIS INTO
We want Liverpool to add to its vitality, and secure the investment and jobs that Liverpool Waters will bring. Liverpool Preservation Trust spokesman Wayne Colquhoun appears to be quite happy to let Peel develop their spectacular complex in Amsterdam, instead. We want no part of any such manoeuvre – we want to speak up for Liverpool instead. http://www.liverpooldailypost.co.uk/views/liverpool-daily-post/2011/07/13/should-our-heritage-put-jobs-at-risk-92534-29042493/

The next day a letter appeared in the letters page http://www.liverpooldailypost.co.uk/views/letters-to-editor/2011/07/14/we-do-not-need-a-huge-vanity-project-92534-29049967/ very well written almost written by a journalist I would say.
I WAS astounded, on reading your editorial comment yesterday.

You reported that Wayne Colquhoun suggested that Peel transplant their Liverpool Water's scheme to Amsterdam: “. . . appears quite happy to let Peel develop their spectacular complex in Amsterdam, instead”.
What you seem not to have grasped is that he, clearly, meant that Liverpool should look to Amsterdam for a model of sustainable growth along its waterways. Amsterdam does not have skyscrapers, but has transformed and developed its canals and waterways very successfully.
You do not have to be a supporter of Mr Colquhoun to understand this is the point he was trying to make.
Whilst not, in general, agreeing with Mr Colquhoun on many of his views, he has got a point about sustainability. Sustainability suggests a model of development which is slower, more organic and responds to natural needs and demand. What Peel are proposing for the northern docklands is grandiose and speculative.
The docklands could be developed in a more gradual way and there does not need to be any skyscrapers, or, indeed, that much new-build. We do not need new apartments or shops or office blocks at this moment in time.
A huge vanity project which is large on ambition but low on practical realities will create a soulless environment.
There is nothing to stop Peel developing the docklands and renovating the warehouses, if they can secure uses for them. In fact, that would be most welcome.
Å If Peel wants to invest in Liverpool and is sensitive to the city's true needs then it could show willing by starting redevelopment of key areas now; starting with the Princes Dock – then working northwards. Speculative promises for the future are contributing to a disincentive to develop and improve now.

J Anderson, L19

Even, Reverse Ferret, Bill "Phsyco" Gleeson who Mark Thomas is keeping a particular eye on, said, "the aesthetic damage has already been done. Modernity has alraedy come to the waterfront in the form of the new museum and apartments at Mann island, the tall buildings at Princes Dock and the dreadful architecture of the Hilton Hotel and the One Park West. These buildings would be the reason to withdraw WHS status,"

So what a two faced little man you are Gleeson............I will remind you shortly about all the waxing lyrical you did in your trash column about how wonderful it was to have all this investment for all these monstrous schemes that have got us into this trouble. Its not my fault we have trashed the WHS.
http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2011/06/liverpool-daily-post-what-price-free.html

YOU HAVE TO SAY THE RUBBISH REPORTING THAT HAS ENABLED THE WHS TO BE DESTROYED SHOULD BE COMMENDED.......for being consistent.

I have now decided to compile a report for Sly Bailey of Trinity Mirror, I wonder who is next to be made redundant, Mark.
