Liverpools World Heritage Site Destroyed while Unesco Stand By

NOT FERRY GOOD REALLY.
LIVERPOOLS WORLD HERITAGE SITE .
What a disaster.
WHILE UNESCO STAND BY AND IDLY WATCH.

I thought it would be bad, we fought against this at all planning stages but we did not know it would be quite this bad. http://icliverpool.icnetwork.co.uk/0100news/0100regionalnews/tm_headline=new-mersey-ferry-terminal-unveiled%26method=full%26objectid=18012714%26siteid=50061-name_page.html

If you had of told me you could build a structure in the WHS worse than The 1960s tiled Shanghai-Palace that was there, I would not have believed it could have been done, but yes, they have managed it. What a talent we have here in Liverpool...but it is the wrong talent.

Oh, and its 2 storeys higher.

English Heritage what happened too busy with your hobby horse at Althorpe and Kenilworth Mr Thurley to pay attention to a area that was Liverpool's identity. I notified you on numerous occasions with acknowledgement.

Doreen blackmailed ???????? my behind she is the Doyenne of Disaster. A disgrace who allegedly lives on the Duke of Westminster's Estate.

Lady Doreen Jones as Chair of planning, who rubber stamped it, you have destroyed us. Imagine doing this to the Taj Mahal.

THIS IS WORLD HERITAGE S*ITE

AND A FLOOD RISK ASSESSMENT WAS SUPPRESSED FROM OBJECTORS

  1. Is it just me or does the front look like a dashboard that;s had the car radio nicked?
That's not going to help the stereotyping - or taking. It is hideous. Not one redeeming feature. You are right, it is worse, I preferred the previous thing, in fact i oreferred it when the buses went right to the Pier head and you could talk to Sandy while you bought the echo from one of the kiosks. At least the area had life then. if only they had restored the lovely old landing stage with its covered walkways. Everything they have done since that vandalism has been a disaster or just sunk into the mersey in shame at its own ugliness.

  2. I saw this as a building site on a visit to Liverpool in November. I am astonished and saddened by the damage that has been done to this sublime location. It only needed to be a single storey building in any case. This is the kind crap you might expect to see in some deadbeat provincial seaside town,is that what Liverpool has become? Shame on all involved.

Also, please stop playing that sentimental rubbish tune on the ferries.
