Galkoffs To Be Butchered by Liverpool Museums For Liverpool University.

Now that’s not kosher.

Tiled facade of Galkoff butchers in LiverpoolTo add insult to injury University Supremo and ex Liverpool Museum Chairman Phil Redmond has got his mate Liverpool Museum Director and cultural vandal David Fleming to help him in the outrage, by accepting the tiles from the exterior into Liverpool Museums at a time when the organisation has no room and is offloading stuff to save on storage costs.

They have no money having spent it all on destroying Manchester Dock, which pre-dated The Albert by 60 years, to build a giant museum with a staircase in.
ALL PASSED OVER BY HIS CHUMS AT ENGLISH HERITAGE. Oh no not the dreaded Henry Owen John again who is on the world heritage steering group with the Fuzz..

You will never be able to get these tiles off without obliteration.
The real façade is how they are getting away with it.
Right in front of the crooked operatives of those, English Heretics now Historic England.

THIS IS A PIECE OF PROPERTY DEVELOPMENT BY ANY OTHER NAME.

The Liverpool History Society is doing a fact-gathering mission on behalf of Liverpool Museums. God Bless’em.

What would Rex Makin who hated David Fleming have said about this…….probably his idea actually.
The Local press (sic) have been duped by the PR machine that is Liverpool Museums doing another middle page spread buoying up Fuzzy Felt Fleming…….without looking into the situation. (Mark Thomas you really should be ashamed of yourself.) or do they care.
There was a time when journalists who had a brain, the likes of Peter Elson took Fuzzy Felt to task.
Not any more most of the journalists at the Oldham Echo are only just out of John Moores University themselves…..and short kecks.

Surely Redmond is looking for another new building to be named after him by the University………..but for smoothing the way for Galkoff’s to be demolished.

Phil you really have sold yourself down the river…….or to Tarporly.

Now it transpires Fuzzy Felt is retiring, and guess where hes got a job..................At The University.

It certainly pays well to be  a cultural vandal.

Museum of Liverpool-Its Just One Cock Up After Another.

MANCHESTER architect AEW is facing a £1.1m bill after being successfully sued by the Museum of Liverpool.

The museum's board took the firm to the High Court earlier in the year over design flaws at the new museum on the city's waterfront.

The claim centred around problems with steps and an amphitheatre-style seating area at entrances on either side of the building. There were also faults with the suspended ceilings, one of which collapsed.

During construction AEW and its contractors struggled to make the steps flow seamlessly into the seating area, a feature of the original designs, and contrived a concrete plinth to cover the discrepancy. When this was seen by the museum's director Sharon Granville it was described as "an abomination".

A judgement issued by Mr Justice Akenhead recognised that one of the contractors, a joint venture between Galliford Try and Danish builder Pihl, was also partially responsible. It has been ordered to pay £205,000 of the total £1.1m bill. A separate judgement relating to the work on the ceilings is expected in several weeks.

In his summary the judge said: "The truth is that AEW knew and must have known by the October or November 2009 period that there had been a serious mistake and that it was simply not possible to achieve the practical and aesthetic effect required by the client and indeed by the planning permission which had been obtained.

"It is simply extraordinary that competent architects could consider that it was acceptable to adopt the plinth solution in any event given their client’s aspirations and wishes and, even worse, without seeking the informed approval of its client."

Sharon Granville, executive director of the Museum of Liverpool, said: "The court has found in favour of National Museums Liverpool on all counts. We are very pleased with the outcome.

"This financial award for the external works means that we will now be able to rectify the long-standing issues with the external steps and terraces at the museum and make them accessible to the public as soon as possible. We are grateful for Mr Justice Akenhead's decision and await the financial award for the ceilings inside the museum in a few weeks time."

AEW's managing director Steve Burns said: "We are disappointed with the outcome of the case. The matter is being dealt with by our insurers and does not affect the ongoing health of the business, but we take criticism seriously.

"We pride ourselves on outstanding levels of service, a fact borne out by over 95% of our business being for repeat clients. The management structure of the company has completely changed since the events of 2009 and we have moved in a different direction since then."

Construction started in 2007 and the museum opened in 2011. The museum originally sought damages of £

What Happened To The Historic Mersey Ferry Bell?

This is a picture taken in 2005 just before plans for the New Museum were passed on The Pier Head. This historic Bell had been around for a long time and was very important at one time to local Mersey navigation. It was under the care of Liverpool Museums who were empowered to keep it in good condition for future generations. They obviously were not doing this by the way they had badly maintained it.
See Picture below showing the rot that had set in. Was David "Fuzzy Felt" Fleming, Herr Director of NML, so embroiled in making a name for himself with the new museum, or as we like to call it "Flemings Folly" that he has forgot  to restore it and put it in the new museum. Along with the Manchester Dock Gates that was also vandalised, on the site that they owned............that cost us 750 grand in payments for breached covenants.

Has "Fuzzy Felt" forgot his promises made in writing that the Historic Fog Bell which was rung to help the Mersey Ferries steer their passengers safely to the landing stage in 'Pea Soupers' was to be restored. Some of us old enough to remember, were a common occurrence when Liverpool had a manufacturing base.
Enquiries should be made as to where this piece of Liverpool history has gone. It cant just have disappeared........can it?

Museum of Liverpool-Winner Of The Hugh Casson Award 2011-For Being a Spectacular Botch Up...

'Piloti' of Private Eye the satirical magazine has for a long time taken an interest in Liverpool. This current issue no 1304 is no exception.
Writing in Nooks and Corners he awards the worst building of 2011 to The Museum of Liverpool.
They told us it was going to be Iconic......and it is, unfortunately for all the wrong reasons. click on the picture to expand the article. The squashed ciggy packet has been a complete disaster coming second in BD mags Carbuncle Cup award 2011. They promised us Iconic and give us Ichronic. All this while the now defunct Daily Ghost was telling us how wonderful it was going to be and how it will give life to the Pier Head. Funny that I was down there the other day playing spot the punter, we had to give up for lack of people. Lies, Lies and even more lies they have spun us those ill educated councillors past and present who sold the city out to.....well not even the highest bidder.

Mistakes 'Piloti' mentions a few as did numerous other publications.
We told them they were building a carbuncle, did the corrupted council officials, with their ill defined aesthetics listen, not a chance.
Spooned by Liverpool Vision with its links to the Chamber of Commerce, they, who should have known better, sold us downstream, to a bunch of carpet-bagging Vultures, right under the noses of the lazy public of Liverpool and the Local Press with its bad editors and their business section, Plumping out the true facts, who let their historic skyline be destroyed. English Heritage let it happen while the then Chairman Sir Neil Cossons was working for Liverpool Museums.

A lorra, lorra gaffes alright.......that we have to put up with for the rest of our lives.

Oh and its happening all over again with Peel Holdings who 'Piloti' calls ".....the sinister Peel Holdings"

BBC Radio Merseyside Job Cuts-But who is Doing The Cutting. Is It Alison Hastings, David Flemings Wife?

National Museums Liverpool have written a collective letter to express support against the BBC cuts that are being made at Radio Merseyside and at local TV and Radio in general.
When you think that Dr David "Fuzzy Felt" Flemings, NML Directors, (known for a cut or three himself,)  wife, Alison Hastings is doing the cuts, isn't that a bit of a oxymoron.
She is also a member of the Press Complaints Commission etc, etc,etc
She is also Vice President of the British Board of Film Censors so she will be alright for films to be sent to her.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbctrust/about/who_we_are/trustees/ Here is a full list of the BBC trustees

Alison Hastings must be the networker of the year. http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbctrust/about/who_we_are/trustees/alison_hastings.shtml

Alison Hastings

National Trustee for England
Alison edited a large multi-edition metropolitan evening newspaper which, under her, won awards for campaigning and investigative journalism. She now works as a media consultant for organisations like the Press Complaints Commission and Camelot. Alison’s career as a regional journalist and her life in

Liverpool give her a valuable perspective on the interests of licence fee payers outside London and the South East, making her the ideal person to hold the role of National Trustee for
England. Her understanding of the pressures faced by the commercial media gives the BBC valuable insights into the wider industry that will help shape its role in supporting a vibrant creative sector in the UK.

BBC Trust responsibilities
• Chairman, Editorial Standards Committee
• Chairman, Audience Councils Committee
• Member, Audiences and Performance Committee
• Chairman, Audience Council (England) Current external positions
• Vice President, British Board of Film Classification
• Media Consultant
• Member, Society of Editors
• Local Governing Board member, Birkenhead High School Academy Previous external positions

Museum of Liverpool-More Legal Action.

Liverpool Museums ae now in a further set of legal action.....this time over the museum steps.
How can a bunch of bungling buffoons led by David Fleming and Phil Redmond get away with such incompetence. Both should go now.
NML chairman Phil Redmond said: “We will fight robustly to protect the public purse. It’s amazingly frustrating that we have to go through legalistic procedures, but it is the only mechanism we have.”
pic ROME MAXXI well they do look the same don't they.

Yes he would say that, this is the plastic scouser who does not live in Liverpool that defended the £750,000 that was paid to Downing over the breach of covenants over protected views that should have seen a pay off to every Liverpudlian for an act of architectural vandalism.
He doesnt even own up to here he lives does our Phil.

Now there is a 500k dispute over the museum steps.

David Fleming of NML-Will He Go? Or Will He Be Pushed?

Never has there been such a case to sack a Museum Director, as the case against Dr David Fleming.
How he has managed to stay in his job is beyond me.
I said a long time ago that he will bugger off as soon as he has erected "Flemings Folly" leaving us with a huge carbuncle in the world heritage site that helped to create a chain of events that now sees Liverpool as an architectural laughing stock.
He even saw off Loyd Grossman after the pair of them helped destroy Manchester Dock, now buried under the Museum of Liverpool, showing that the reality is, Fleming is not in the slightest bit worried about Liverpool history................but his own career.
http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2009/11/loyd-grossman-lectures-us-on-heritage.html
It may have backfired on him this time, the national press have slagged off the misguided design, if that's what you can call it of Liverpool's new eyesore.
Nearly sixty years after the blitz more architectural damage is done to Liverpool's historic fabric by giving old Fuzzy Felt Fleming a hundred million quid to play around with than was done by the Lufftwaffe during the Blitz.
http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2011/09/museum-of-liverpool-runner-up-in-2011.html
Runner up in BD's Carbuncle Cup competition.
“Our first reaction was that you shouldn’t build here,” Kim Nielsen, the director of 3XN, the Danish practice responsible for its original design, has said. He should have trusted his first instincts.
http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2011/05/museum-of-liverpool-sues-3xn-architects.html

Mistake after mistake, after elementary mistake was made by what is, in my opinion, an incompetent who, if he was doing an extension on his own house would have gone bankrupt for the lack of skill to manage his project.
He had all the Liverpool pottery removed from the Maritime Museum to make way for a cafe. http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2009/10/maritime-dining-rooms-maritime-disaster.html

He called all his curators dysfunctional characters.........not the sort of people you would want to go for a drink with" he said to a interviewer in New Zealand. http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2009/03/watching-detectives.html
Just how many will attend his leaving party.

He should have been sacked when he proclaimed that he wanted all young black men to feel shit http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2010/10/liverpool-black-history-month-will-dr.html
Yes the Director slavery museum said what. http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2010/08/dr-david-fleming-to-be-investigated-by.html
Andy Kelly the news editor of the Daily Ghost bottled it and hid the story. Trinity "Smoking" Mirror fashion.
http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2010/12/david-bartlett-come-in-number-six-your.html

http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2010/02/museum-of-liverpool-are-trustees-out-of.html
£750,000 were paid out for breach of covenants.
http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2010/12/national-conservation-centre-closes.html

So will he now jump or will he be pushed. The local press hailed the opening of the new Museum a success but now as the winter draws in and the kids are back at school there is hardly anybody going there. And of course it draws attention from our museum district.
He is on his way I feel a Judd-er around the museum that there is something about to take place, but its too late for Liverpool. The damage has been well and truly done.

Museum of Liverpool-Makes 'Carbuncle Cup' Shortlist.

Representing the bloated apogee in this pursuit of the iconic is the £72 million Museum of Liverpool, the bastard child of 3XN, AEW and several lawsuits. It is the ultimate flashy esquisse executed with the leaden hand of the local authority, a crumpled quilt of stone stretched back and forth until it sufficiently destroys the city’s majestic waterfront.

Well it couldnt be clearer than that from BD me thinks, they dont like it.

The full citation:
“Next to our three gently ageing Edwardian Beauties, The Three Graces, The Port of Liverpool Building, The Cunard Building and the Liver Building, they stick a trashy tart.
“A building that jerks against the restrained classiscism that made Liverpool famous, that escaped the blitz, that managed to survive against all odds……….only now to look alien in their own settings.
“The challenge was to use classical materials in a modern manner but here they have failed.
“Travertine was the first choice abandoned for the cheaper Jura after planning approval.
“Below it is the now destroyed Manchester Dock that was intact and predated the Albert Dock by 60 years.
“Is it only Liverpool that thinks it can get away with destroying its history in a World Heritage Site. It is being bravefaced but it really is like giving a pretty girl a black eye, knocking all her teeth out and saying ’smile you look lovely’.” http://www.bdonline.co.uk/buildings/carbuncle-cup/carbuncle-cup-citation-museum-of-liverpool-by-3xn/aew/5022074.article

Clunky slabs and botched “landmarks” battle it out to win the coveted title of worst building of the year.

http://www.bdonline.co.uk/comment/bloated-icons-and-dreary-sheds-go-head-to-head-in-the-race-for-the-carbuncle-cup/5022082.article
This year’s carbuncle nominees fall into two categories: the failed iconic, and the grimly mundane.
At one end of the spectrum we have Atkins and Grimshaw’s Newport Station and Bond Bryan’s Phoenix High School, both bleak attempts at novelty. One is a globular silver swoosh realised with the prosaic flair of design and build; the other has been likened to a pile of liquorice allsorts – because it is lurid and wonky. It is telling that Network Rail’s own promotional posters only show the station in a night-time view from the air, while the pupils of Phoenix now all want to become architects – surely so others may not have to suffer their fate.
At the other end of the spectrum, we have three projects completely devoid of ambition, standing for the worst of the lumpen planner-friendly filler that blights our cities.
In desperately trying to avoid any suggestion of wasting licence-payers’ money, “MediaCityUK” has ended up as a field of mediocrity. An agglomeration of bulky slabs, dressed in cheap panelised systems, it is reminiscent of the kind of flimsy rubbish that airport terminals tend to accrue.
One Hyde Park is precisely the opposite, straining to appear as expensive and refined as possible, yet ending up looking like the product of a volume house-builder. It will not be the last silo of sheiks to sprout up in Knightsbridge, but it will be hard to beat its clunky detailing and mean-minded attitude to the street. Just where did that £1 billion go?
Finally, Brighton’s Ebenezer Chapel housing development by Molyneux Architects represents the depressing reality of most housing today – blunt expanses of render punctured by tiny windows. As our reader’s citation suggests, “It is these mediocre buildings that damage our cities more than bolder failures.”

WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Museum of Liverpool... Nominated For Building Design Carbuncle Cup Award Five Days Before It Opens

Five days before it pretends to open and its on the shortlist for Building Design Carbuncle Cup Award, The Museum of Liverpool, a giant Dicky Bow in the world heritage site of Liverpool, an anachronism. Yes next to our three gently ageing Edwardian Beauties, the Liver Buildings the Port of Liverpool Buildings and the Cunard Buildings, they stick a trashy tart ..........along with its three ugly sisters at Mann Island, the Three Black Coffins, that I nominated. Not sure who was the nominee though I think it has a good chance. http://www.bdonline.co.uk/news/carbuncle-cup-2011-—-view-all-the-nominated-projects/5021290.article Have your say..........

Is anyone sure who the architect is there has been a few and still there is legal battles over ownership.

My understanding from within the organisation is that it is mayhem at the once proud organisation that Fuzzy Felt Fleming has managed to ruin with, his, ambition to build "Flemings Folly", for £80,000,000 when Care Homes are closing left right and centre. pic Rome MAXXI, well they look the same dont they.

Legal row hangs over Liverpool museum launch-Building Design Magazine.

Second architect prepares for museum client’s court action. I have printed some of the article courtesy of BD mag as it is subscription.

A fresh legal row involving the architects behind the £72 million Museum of Liverpool project is threatening to overshadow its opening in four weeks’ time.
National Museums Liverpool (NML) is poised to launch legal action against the firm it drafted in to complete the project, Manchester practice AEW, after last month beginning proceedings against original architect 3XN, which it kicked off the job in 2007.
Although a spokesman for the museum stressed “it has not issued legal proceedings” against AEW, BD understands the practice is preparing to defend itself in court.
This follows a row last year between the two parties that saw AEW successfully recoup £500,000 in unpaid fees.
AEW declined to comment, but both disputes are thought to centre on how much the museum claims it is allegedly owed because of delays to the project, which bosses originally hoped would be partly finished in time for the city’s stint as European Capital of Culture back in 2008.
The scheme has since missed a series of deadlines and will be only three-quarters complete when it opens on July 19. A second phase will open by November.
Broadcaster Gillian Reynolds, who was on the board of the museum’s trustees for seven years until her resignation over a separate issue in 2008, said she was “not surprised” by the legal rumpus and said NML was partly to blame for the scheme running late.
It also emerged this week that 3XN had issued a counterclaim in its dispute with NML.
Principal Kim Nielsen admitted the spat centred on how much each allegedly owed each other. He said the case had not reached the courts yet and added: “I expect it will be sorted out amicably.”

Last week a ceiling collapsed at the new museum, one month before opening and a worker was taken to hospital. It is never going to be ready.

How does Fuzzy Felt Flemming keep getting away with wasting millions for Fleminigs Folly.
Why does someone at the audit commission or at the DCMS look into his wasteful approach to building his Grand Design.
If a normal person went ahead like this they would be bankrupt. It started off as £21 million and is to cost well how long is a piece of string really its at £80 million now and rising.

Museum of Liverpool Sues 3XN-Architects.

The Museum of Liverpool has issued legal proceedings against Danish architects 3XN – more than three and a half years after dropping the practice from the £72 million project

Revealed following a Freedom of Information request to the museum by the AJ, the move is the latest in a series of legal wrangles involving the team building the waterfront landmark and comes just two months before the museum opens its doors on 19 July.
Last year Manchester-based practice AEW Architects, which was brought in to replace 3XN on the job in late 2007, went to arbitration, successfully recouping £500,000 in unpaid fees for work on the museum (AJ 04.06.10).
Details of the museum’s claim against 3XN remain unclear but, with a proposed mediation appearing to have failed, it is understood the museum needed to begin litigation before it ran out of time to do so.
The move will undoubtedly elicit a counterclaim from the Danes. In 2008, 3XN admitted to the AJ that it had sought legal advice over ‘a substantial amount’ of unpaid fees and potential copyright infringement relating to the Liverpool museum job (AJ 22.04.08).
A spokesman for the museum said: ‘We can confirm we have issued legal proceedings against 3XN and therefore can make no further comment at this stage.’

Kim Nielsen of 3XN said: ‘At this time, it would be inappropriate to respond.’

While the local press are acting as PR for Liverppol Museums the Architects Journal have made a freedom of information act request.  http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2010/02/liverpool-museums-how-much-have-they.html

Liverpools Great Land Sell Off-At The Wrong Time, For Some.

It was several years ago that I attended the World Heritage Inscription Ceremony at the Liverpool Town Hall. I was uninvited.
I met Rex Makin there who asked me to call into his office to assist with advice on how to campaign against the then proposed Museum of Liverpool, which I did shortly after. He did not appear to like Dr David Fleming one bit.
George Downing was there I approached him and asked him if he would put up a fight against the Mann Island Developments. “I am sitting on the fence at the moment” he said. “Yes and you are going to get a sore arse” I said

He would later go on to receive a £750,000 pay out for a breach of covenant that Liverpool Museums made by blocking views of the Port of Liverpool Building that he owned. That’s what you call nicely cushioned.

Sir Neil Cossons the then Chair of English Heritage said, I remember this because I wrote it down.

“Liverpool has a wealth of great architecture and now has the opportunity to build on the strength of its world heritage site”. I shouted out “That’s what they’re doing” and several people turned to me, some aware of the impending doom that would descend on the Pier Head.

When Cossons said build on the nucleus of the World Heritage Site, there was some already taking him literally.
I spoke to a quite trendy and Tough looking bloke who said he owned or leased a large warehouse on the waterfront that he wanted to develop.

He was a big out of town developer with a standing for making things happen, creating International tourist destination, that people came from all over the world to visit, or so he persuaded me. He then went on to allege some very worrying claims.
He told me how he wanted to develop his site into a rival to his London Base.
“Well why don’t you get a planning application it needs doing up” I said.
“Councillors, he replied, I was told that if I coughed up some money it would have a clear run”
I was not amazed in fact quite the opposite it was just more confirmation of how the stranglehold on the city was being tightened by those in power.
“How much”
“60 grand” he replied. “I just cant do it, I am so annoyed”
If he was to be believed and I have no evidence to doubt his claims it just shows how the city has been run.
He is no longer around Liverpool, so his investment has gone elsewhere.
I put this forward to several local reporters who I knew quite well and it was subsequently ignored.
I have been speaking to a researcher for the BBC called Alex Ritson and this and quite a lot more information has been made available. It seems I have quite a file.
He said he is putting a FOI request in to determine the lease details for Grosvenor-pool.

Lets hope he digs a bit deeper than the local press.
I telephoned the Echo in 1985, I recall speaking to Rob Rohrer and I told him of the involvement of a then little known and up and coming councillor with a local businessman. "I cant just take your word for it" he said. "You need to dig a bit" I told him.
I later found out he was part of the Liverpool Free Press and covered a Trevor Jones expose entitled The Undeclared Interest of 'Jones The Vote' for the New Statesman.
That declaration was taken close to court by Trevors solicitor, Rex Makin, Rob told me.
http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2009/09/trevor-jone-steps-down-good-riddance.html

Everyone in the city had a theory of what was allegedly going on.
Some of the senior journalists were in fact card-carrying members of the party.
It was 5 years later that the Sunday Times by-passed the local press and did a massive expose, that led to the councillor in question being taken to court, with his friend as co-defendant.
I recall how the defendant offered no defence and was cleared.
It was national news and brought Liverpool down to a basket case image.
This court case was over a piece of land that was claimed by the defendants had little interest to anyone.
It was claimed, in court that the only person who had taken an interest in this plot of land, alleged to have been sold on the cheap by the council, was Hitler who dropped a bomb on it.
This land is now part o the Liverpool One Grosvenor-pool Development and is worth a fortune.

And what checks will be made of the great Council Land "errr umm" Sell Off happening today under a new Labour administration.

Mann Island Wonder on the Waterfront.

The real wonder is how they ever got away with building three black coffins at Mann Island.
This is a full page advert in the local paper, I thought they said they had sold them all...it was reported as such.
You will note that the White Coffin, the all new Wacky Warehouse-on-Sea...The Museum of Liverpool, is not shown in the picture.
That is because Dr Fuzzy Felt at NML has banned them from using the image connected with the black slugs. They are desperately trying to distance themselves from the Mann Island development, even though its all the same North "Vested Interest" Development Agency funding package. Loyd Grossperson threatened legal action if they were associated together just before Fleming had him sacked for reporting him to the DCMS. That's what was in the Sunday Times anyhow. To think the English Heretics let them get away with this.

Is this just my opinion? Well here is another.

David Bartlett-Come In Number Six Your Time Is Up..

First let me say I have nothing against Mr David Bartlett personally, or any of the other reporters that I know in Port Merrion on the Mersey at Oldham Hall Street, but it really has got to a stage where they are so understaffed (well I will give the benefit of the doubt at this stage) that the whole credibility of the local press has got to be questioned in a lot more detail.
The Daily Post "Prisoner" David Bartlett.

The Trinity "Smoking" Mirror Group seem more content to look after their sources than their readers, so it is inevitable that the chip-papers sales will go down.
They tried giving the Daily Post away free at one time, that didn't work either. It has problems.
David wrote up an article regarding the awful David Fleming who, I do have something against, namely he is a twasser ruining a once great institution, he is ruining it.......... and it was squoshed.
http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2010/08/i-want-all-young-black-men-to-feel-shit.html
This was dynamite and there had to be a duty for the local press to expose this racist comment by the director of Liverpool's International Slavery Museum.
I gave him all the information, he reads the blog and he had asked me for more clarification, to which I duly obliged.
He wrote it up.........It was a big story.......... and it was nobbled by the senior staff at Trinity "Smoking" Mirrors.
Come in Number 6 your time really is up.
David Bartlett, The Prisoner.
Does a big balloon come down Oldham Hall Street when he tries to go out, that swooshes him back, and who is Number 2
Dicky Felt-tip, Flemings personal  PR man who spends all his days at our expense getting him out of the shit that he wants to spread over all young black men that visit the museums, had asked David to bury the story. He personally asked the City Editor to edit this out of the papers.
I didn't think he would it was big. I thought David too big for that. Finally exposing a man of little common sense with distorted sick views destroying Liverpool Museums to build Flemings Folly in the world heritage site, ruining our views.
But he wrote it up especially after Fleming was to be investigated by city council.

http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2010/08/dr-david-fleming-to-be-investigated-by.html
I felt contented to have done some work.   I had predicted he would bury the dynamite that is David "Fuzzy Felt" Fleming.
http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2010/08/trinity-smoking-mirror-burying-dynamite.html

No it never got out .....as outragous as the story itself.
Mark Thomas told me he has to strike a balance. Well the balance has gone too far and you are a No Mark Mr Thomas. Is it just my opinion http://condensedthoughts.blogspot.com/2010/08/fleming-should-explain-himself.html No not really, but do the public know enough to have theirs.
Lazy journalism is not the correct balance.
Today's papers and yesterdays are full of Joe Anderson, Liverpool Vision PR pap that is already packaged up for the papers so all they do is put their name to it.
Liverpool Councils "One Plan Scheme" They only have one plan to manipulate the press and they are succeeding.
http://www.liverpooldailypost.co.uk/liverpool-news/regional-news/2010/12/15/one-plan-scheme-unveiled-to-promote-liverpool-around-the-world-92534-27828398/2/  David Bartlett also sells it on his blog but I don't want to give it the credibility here, only scorn.
I recently sold a couple of old Liverpool Mercury's from 1812 and reading through them it made me think it was a time that the Daily Posts fore-runner The Mercury turned a blind eye to the plight of the slaves that were shipped across the Atlantic. Yes they are as guilty as the slavers.
I watched a taped ITV4 film this weekend about the life of William Wilberforce and his struggle for justice for right and I thought this local press has not changed one jot, they still turn a blind eye when it suits them and I thought, shame on you local journalists who don't tell the truth, shame on you.
They package a Palm Oil disaster that causes misery for indigenous races in far off climates as PR pap for Peel http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2010/11/ldp-business-week-are-they-pr-plants.html Its just the same in a different age.
My opinion is its what you don't say and its what you hide that makes you as much a liar as having the brashness to declare a lie.
When you join a deceit you are part of an overall lie and the old saying for evil to succeed it takes good men to do nothing.
Come in Number 6 your time is well and truly up and who is Number 1.

Chart of Pay structures at NML What I find difficult to understand is how David "Fuzzy Felt" Fleming is on payband 9 but appears to be on less money than the others.
I also find it alarming that Sharon Granville has not been sacked http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2010/09/sharon-granville-of-liverpool-museumsis.html If she was in the private industry with her pathetic record on Flemings Folly, the new Museum of Liverpool she would have gone a long time ago.

Liverpool Conservation Centre To Close Its Doors To The Public-The Decline of NML Continues.

Liverpool Conservation Centre to close its doors to the public

Dec 13 2010

by Ben Schofield, Liverpool Daily Post
LIVERPOOL’S flagship conservation centre will permanently close its doors to the public at the end of the week.
Art lovers have been able to have free entry to the Whitechapel-based National Conservation Centre for 14 years.
But museums bosses facing a 15% budget cut said it has to close its doors.
The conservation work done there will continue, and its permanent exhibition – Revealed: the Hidden Stories of Objects – will be moved to the World Museum.
But several staff are likely to be affected by the closure.
NML director Dr David Fleming said: “We bitterly regret having to close one of our venues to visitors, but this is the harsh reality of government cuts. The National Conservation Centre was a very popular venue that staged many fantastic photographic exhibitions and other events over the last 14 years.”

This what happens when you let a twasser like Dr David Fleming loose with too much money, he puts all his eggs in one new museum basket and the rest of the once proud establishment starts to decline.
http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2010/10/liverpool-black-history-month-will-dr.html
Not only does he want all young black men to feel shit but everyone associated with NML.
http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2010/11/maritime-disaster-at-merseyside.html
Couldnt Phil Redmond-stien have found some volunteers to man it.

What a disgrace, and it will get worse.

Maritime Disaster at the Merseyside Maritime Museum.

Our friends at Seven Streets highlighted last week, the lack of diners at the Maritime Museum Dining Rooms at the Albert Dock. Another one of the wacky director, Dr David Flemings schemes, overseen by the trustees and their Chairman Big Society Tory Phil Redmond.                They call it a Fright at the Museum and its delicous stuff. http://www.sevenstreets.com/food-and-drink/a-fright-at-the-museum/  Served up on a platter of irony with just a touch of relish on the side. Here is what the racist comment maker "Fuzzy Felt" Fleming had to say about it in the museum insider in 2009 when it opened. click on the pics Hey he's so clever.

Maybe considering its next to the slavery museum his wishes to make "all young black men feel shit" it has worked. http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2010/08/i-want-all-young-black-men-to-feel-shit.html
Maybe that's why there is nobody there. Seven Streets show a picture, they were just a bit late with the shutter speed to catch the tumbleweed drifting through.
They say, "How to take a winning formula and kill it stone dead. Why Merseyside Maritime Museum's Restaurant has sunk without trace"...  worth a read.

I commented at the time. http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2009/10/maritime-dining-rooms-maritime-disaster.html

When the tin pot dictator, I mean director took out all the Herculaneum pottery, because in my opinion he is not educated enough to understand how important it is to Liverpool history and how volunteers painstakingly researched and built up the collection over decades. Only to see a racist comment maker, who thinks he's clever destroy their hard work for another cafe.
He should have been a director of Starbucks not our museums.

Or maybe its because of the way the Pier head looks.
Now to enter the Maritime Museum you have to go past the awful Mann Island and past the obnoxious scrawling architectural disaster that is the new museum. That some people at Seven Sheets seem to like, well there is no accounting for taste, but there are other views there too. http://www.sevenstreets.com/city-living/feature-city-living/total-eclipse-of-the-heart-mann-island/
Remember though that the Mann Island Coffins designed by Matt Brooks, http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/liverpool-news/local-news/2006/03/09/this-is-architect-matt-brook-s-vision-for-the-pier-head-is-it-right-for-the-waterfront-100252-16793395/ oh, and the museum, along with the Canal Cut are of the same funding package and were always treated as one.  http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2009/07/mann-island-funds-new-museum-its-fact.html

I am reliably informed that Morrissey worshiper, Dicky Felt-tip, Flemings personal PR is under instructions to distance all publicity linking the museum, the White Coffin, to the Black Coffins.
http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2010/07/dr-david-fleming-now-he-is-winging.html  Whinging about budget cuts.
Don't let them get to you, if so much money had not have been wasted paying out for covenants or settling legal disputes, or wasted on overcharging http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2009/09/museum-of-liverpool-contractors.html     the once proud institution would not be in such a financial mess.

Well what do you expect from a regime whose directors favourite museum is The Museum of Genocide Victims in Vilnius and who wants "all young black men to feel shit"

Liverpool's World Heritage Steering Group-The Secret Group-The List of Names.

Yes, I can hear you thinking what is a world heritage steering group. Well here is a list of the names.........round up all the usual suspects. Graham Ives, Louise Obrien, daughter of Fred and Nigel Lee. Graham Boxer and Keith Blundell, no surprises there all the people ever willing to sell out the world heritage site, or turn a blind eye. John Belchem is a surprise,
Wayne Colquhoun was recently interviewed by Winifred Robinson for a Radio 4 programme about Liverpool's new eyesore museum and he was waxing on about the history of the port and all that stuff. http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2010/03/museum-of-liverpool-radio-4-take.html
Sarah Jane Farr was at the Merseyside civic Society meeting. She was one of the heritage collaborators advocating the new museum. She should know better.
 http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2010/04/merseyside-civic-society-heritage.html
Hinchliffe the World Heritage waste of time http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2010/02/john-hinchliffe-liverpools-world.html  who has the backbone of a jelly fish as far as the WHS is concerned was running a lot of the proceedings and directed by Ian Wray of the NWDA.
We dont have a chance when these secret organisations meet behind closed doors and don't make themselves known.
So here they are the conspirators to world heritage disasters, turning a blind eye, selling their souls really, probably to the highest bidder, jobs for the boys, or girls.
What is most alarming is David "Fuzzy Felt" Fleming who destroyed Manchester Docks (while Sara Jane Farr recorded the old shoes and bottles found there) is on the committee.
How can you let a man who has no concept of World Heritage principles who is a  marauder of the Liverpool Museums treasure chest to better his career, http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2010/09/sharon-granville-of-liverpool-museumsis.html who has done so much damage near a steering group. It just shows the type of steering they have in mind.

http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2010/07/liverpool-waters-english-heritage-hold.html

All we need now is Henry Owen-John and Joe Back'Anderson and they can do what they like.
They don't have a single person who we would trust there.

Update 30.9,2021

Liverpool has now lost its World Heritage Site Status.
Dont say we did not warn you.
How can these people sleep at night.

Liverpool Black History Month-Will Dr David Fleming Be Taking Part?

ORGANISERS of Liverpool’s Black History Month are promising a packed programme of events.

The sixth annual festival, which starts today, aims to celebrate black history, culture and heritage.
This year’s event also coincides with Liverpool hosting the 15th MOBO awards for urban music at the Oldham ECHO Arena on October 20.
Highlights include the Black Achievers Awards and the Cultural Food Feast as well as a host of film nights, lectures, book launches and more.
National Museums Liverpool is also marking Black History Month with a series of events at venues across the city and a new book about slavery. The Black Achievers awards night is a prestigious black tie event which will be held on October 9 at St George’s Hall.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2010/oct/01/black-history-month-hero-worship

The book, called Transatlantic Slavery: An Introduction, has also been launched by the International Slavery Museum.
 http://www.liverpooldailypost.co.uk/liverpool-news/regional-news/2010/10/01/liverpool-s-sixth-annual-black-history-month-launches-today-92534-27377424/

So after the director of Liverpool's International Slavery Museum recently said at a symposium about slavery,
"I want all young black men to feel shit"
http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2010/08/i-want-all-young-black-men-to-feel-shit.html should he be allowed to continue in his post and be allowed to educate us on matters of black history and slavery. I am not the son of a slaver I have no responsibility to be viewed as a slavers son.
Should the city editor of Liverpool's Daily Ghost writer for the museums and mate of Dicky Felton, PR for Fleming, be allowed to continue,  http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2010/08/trinity-smoking-mirror-burying-dynamite.html for burying the story of this magnitude.
The public deserve to know when their Representatives are behaving no more than ignorant bigot fashion, making worse stereotypes than those directors of museums, the racist museum directors of the the racist past, who used to ransack foreign shores and treat people as human loot and who now make free publicity in returning things that should never have been removed.
It is interesting how a Dicky Felt-tip publicity shot was arranged to show what a jolly good fellow Fleming is.
Instead of reporting the true picture of a man who in my opinion has got a racist undertone in his speak they bump him into a jolly good fellow. http://www.liverpooldailypost.co.uk/liverpool-news/regional-news/2010/09/24/national-museums-liverpool-hands-back-human-remains-to-australia-92534-27332944/ Now I am not for one minute saying it is not right to return the human remains to their rightful place but it is a coincidence it happens now. pic courtesy of the Daily Museums at Old Hall Street.
The last time Flem went down-under he upset all his staff saying all curators are dysfunctional characters. http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2009/03/watching-detectives.html
So taking one to know one, Fleming is to be investigated by Liverpool City Council after Joe Anderson was made aware of his comments. David Bartlett at Trinity "Smoking" Mirrors is aware of this fact and has spoken to the person investigating him. http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2010/08/dr-david-fleming-to-be-investigated-by.html

So now he is giving the museums assets back to their rightful owners, can we have all our Herculaneum pottery back, http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2009/10/maritime-dining-rooms-maritime-disaster.html

But when the local press bury news what can you expect for the truth.

Sharon Granville, of Liverpool Museums,Is Sent Out Again To Front Flemings Folly.

What does it take to work for Liverpool Museums? I know some of the most hardworking and respectable scholars in the country that work there.......and then there are those who are blind, who just run round sorting out Flemings cock-ups. Sharon Granville is one of those. She writes in to the Daily Ghost defending the abysmal level of cock ups, this time saying.

Museum story

REGARDING your article on Tuesday, August 24, concerning the new Museum of Liverpool, I would like to clarify some points: the building contract with the main contractor (PGT) is intact.
There is no issue of an expiry date or any need for renewal. All building contracts provide for a 12-month snagging period post-completion. The fact that a reduced PGT team is currently on site is completely unremarkable.
There is no question over the museum ownership: both the museum and the land are owned by National Museums Liverpool. The exhibition fit-out contract is under way, and the museum will open in 2011.
Sharon Granville, Project Director, Museum of Liverpool
http://www.liverpooldailypost.co.uk/views/letters-to-editor/2010/09/01/letters-to-the-editor-september-1-92534-27176431/

She has written in a few time defending the old tin-pot running the place.
Defending Flemings Folly behaving like a museum Directors lap-dog.
If she is the project director then she should be sacked for the abysmal display of ineptitude.

Dicky Felt-tip P.A and Morrissey lover, the new high powered museum blagger wont be far behind this one either.
What will they do to defend him next when the muck hits the fan? http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2010/08/dr-david-fleming-to-be-investigated-by.html
What will they do when they are sacked and their jobs are done by volunteers? http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2010/07/are-liverpool-museums-skint-phil.html

How can you defend such a pointless waste of tax-payers money?
Unless you are the ones wasting the dosh.
http://liverpoolpreservationtrust.blogspot.com/2010/06/two-faced-liverpool-museums-will-alsop.html

http://www.liverpooldailypost.co.uk/liverpool-news/regional-news/2008/03/03/new-pier-head-museum-will-offer-great-views-of-mersey-64375-20549233/

Just look at the views above ruined for Flemings Folly who in his capacity as Director of the International Slavery Museum on Merseyside says he wants all young black men to feel shit.
Get him out.
