St Lukes Liverpool-Memorial To The Blitz

TURNS INTO A PUB.

It is outragous that this great testament to the suffering and resiliance of the people of Liverpool during that terrible period, World War II.

It has now been consecrated as a drinking hole.

Called The Bombed Out Church by local people.

The site for the church was given by The 12^th Earl of Derby in 1791 on the condition that the land should never be used for any other purposes than that of a church. It was build under the careful supervision of John Foster Senior. The foundation stone was laid in 1811.

We understand that it needs maintanance but who asked the people of Liverpool if they agreed with the gesture to turn this Grade II* listed building from a place of solemnity and dignity into a bar.

The council should not have allowed this to happen.

There are covenents in the deeds.

Who made this decsison?

It must have been the city councillors for Riverside ward and we see two names that crop up again and again wherever there are financial descisions that benefit the few over the many.

Councillor Steve Mumby and Christine Banks.

She is the licencing committee chairperson that has helped turn Liverpool into the Hen Party Capital it is today.

Just what was thier involvement in this outragous idea to insult the people who lost their lives during the Blitz and turn this Grade II* listed memorial into a place for worshiping booze.

Who granted the planning permission for this?

Is it the same dodgy planners that have been there for a while, through all the corrupted property Back'Anderson deals?

While the city has turned into Capital of Corruption.

A city where the Mayor and his cohort Nick Kavanagh along with the highways chief Andy Barr were all rounded up by the Old Bill.

Lawrence Kenwright thought he had bought it from Mayor Joe Back'Anderson.

LiverpoolLabour Party is “Corrupt to the Core” and why are the same people still being allowed to make these outragous descisions right under the nose......of you, the public who have voted them in.

We thought we had saved it from Lawrence Kenwright.

While most of the public were too busy out drinking to Save St Lukes from the very people empowered by you, to upkeep its solemnity and dignity.

As a memorial of national importance. To those who lost their lives.

Reclaim St Luke's Church and Preserve It As A Blitz Memorial........Before Its Too Late.

Why have the public now been barred from St Luke's Church and Gardens?
We are worried that, the people who should be in charge of our historic buildings, and St Luke's is registered with The Imperial war Museum as a memorial to the blitz, are being Gerry-Mandered by Malcolm Kennedy and his foolish idea of regeneration.

 I.E Lime Street, which he was in charge of.

The Church and Gardens have been closed for repair for a year now.

Joe Anderson and Lawrence Kenwright's Signature Living Land Deal Exposed In Private Eye.

Private Eye entitles the article in the current edition, in ROTTEN BOROUGHS, CLASS ACT. Just who is writing all this stuff for Private Eye? We call it dodgy dealing right in front of the eyes of the public, and the local press, who should be watching what the property developing Mayor Joe Anderson is doing with our public funds. Some Time ago Wayne campaigned to bring some life back into the historic Albion House after it had lain there empty for years claiming it would be a perfect place to link Liverpool, on a global stage with the huge interest of the tragic events, that happened on the fateful night, when the Titanic was sunk. "There is so much public interest that it couldn't go wrong". he said. Sure enough Joe Anderson's mate Lawrence Kenwright must have been listening and miraculously got his hands on a pile of cash. 

Despite being previously banned as a company director. (you don't just get banned as a company director for bad book-keeping).

 But Joe Anderson and Co don't seem to care who they give the council assets to,  such as Municipal House in Victoria Street. 

 Kenwright was also the character that come up, out of nowhere, (and do we believe him) with a dodgy scheme to steal St Lukes Church from its rightful place as a monument to the blitz.

If the wag bar at the new Titanic Theme Hotel is anything to go by, thank god he never got it and the public outrage made Anderson stop and think.    

The local papers called this refurbishment of Albion House a good news story without any checks pouring publicity over the opening.........even picturing Anderson on the steps of the new hotel with the Kenwright's, giving it a big thumbs up.

The local press should be checking everything that "Il Duce" Anderson is doing with public assets.
It seems that property developers always seem to have a link with Frank McKenna.

St Luke's Church - Liverpool

Former Anglican Church built 1811-1832 in the Perpendicular Gothic style by John Foster, completed by his son John Foster Junior. Damaged by bombing in May 1941, now largely regarded as a War Memorial but not officially designated as such. A study recommended a cultural venue option but no funding has been identified.
